I saw him once at the "V" and he was challenging anyone and everyone at the 5-10NL to play 50/100 or 100/200 limit headz up. He finally got a taker, but the deal was half LHE and half Badougi. He took the challenge. The challenger went to get chips and Mike grabs a guy(his friend) at our table, he says, "dude I don't have a clue how to play badougi, can you explain it real fast" His friend gives him the basic rules and Crazy Mike just nods and says he doesn't really need to know advanced stuff just how to play. I wish I knew who won but they played a 10K freezeout for at least 5hrs. I think Mike may have lost, but I could be wrong.

All of the regular 5-10 players were trying to get him to sit at our game while he waited for challengers. They also all had big time respect for his HU and short handed LHE skills.

At the V he asked for Six fiji's all at once and the dealer said he'll drink them all in a few hours and maybe six more

Haha c_hoop that's also how I met Crazy Mike. Glad a few of the stories here are accurate, I'm sure Mike will be amused by all the ones believing he is some sort of trust fund kid when the truth is he has been crushing online heads up limit for years now.

Seems like he accuses a lot of people of being bots though when he starts to lose...hopefully none of the stories of him getting innocent people in trouble are true.

crushing is a strong word, he is a good player and he wins but not as much as he should if he was better at game selection

But in the HU world, if your goal, like his is, to be the best in the world, then game selection is not necessary for long term EV.

ya mike likes to occasionally try and claim credit for this (he proclaims in FTP chat how he busted pokergirlz off the site), but I know for a fact it wasn't him.

Maybe not the same guy but possibly...was at Turning Stone in May (maybe april heh)...blond guy looks like hes in his mid/early 20s is screaming PLUS TO THE EEEE VEEEEEE and shoving 1/2NL every hand...ran into him later nd he seemed 2 be crushing a 15/30 limit table and explained to me limit was his bread and butter. may or may not be "crazy mike" but after reading the post the description fits perfect

Not sure what an "anti Dean zealot" is. My guess is based on a memory several years back when he crushed a few noted 2+2ers heads up at the Bike (along with Maria Ho on Live at Bike) Mike screamed that he wanted his "right wing Fox News" on the monitor along with his half dozen or so Pepsi's.

This leads me to conclude "Dean" is former Democratic Presidential candidate and current DNC chairman Howard Dean. Am I right?

hahahahaha spot-on perfect description of crazy mike. A+++. i like him a lot. and yes, he'll ask about your financial situation but i don't really mind, i tell him the truth and i assume he's truthful with me as well, so it's all good.

he and i have very rarely played together--he doesn't play big-bet and i don't play fixed--but i believe (and have tried to tell him) that he could be a tough nl player given his aggressive and fearless nature.

the answer is "a lot", that seems to make him happy.

Mike and Deanrover/PartyGirlUK got into it because Mike decided that Dean was a bot and then behaved like a damn infant around Dean all over the forums.

Mike is a good player, from what I can tell. I have played him a few times, but he typically does not play shorthanded games, preferring to play HU. He has complained more than once when I have sat out against him HU, claiming that "I owe him" since he played 3-handed with me, something he is "admittedly not good at." He will then talk a ton about game selection being for wusses and how he'll play anyone.

Of course, he won't play my roommate HU, but that doesn't stop him from saying he'll play anyone.
