I got to see Crazy Mike in action back in October. He was shoving at a 1-2 table at the V, as detailed in the thread. He lost the first hand I saw, then went on a tear. Cracked Aces, and won a couple more before these two awesome hands.

- To show you how people tilt when he's at the table, he shoved blind for $200 or so and got called.....by J7o. Dealer puts the whole board out, and the J7 guy completely whiffs. Mike has him pick which of his cards to turn over....first one is a J. Now the crowd is buzzing, as with the board like 90% of the remaining deck would be a win for Mike....except his other card is also a 7 for a sweet chop!

- Few hands later, guy calls the all-in with AJ. Completely bricks the board. Now before turning his hand over, Mike makes him an offer. He tells the guy he can take $50 back if he just gives up his hand right now. The guy thinks, but declines. Mike then adjusts his offer to $75 - sight unseen of his cards. The guy hems and haws, and ends up saying no, he's willing to gamble.

The board was something like KT753. Mike flips over his first card - it's a 4. Now for the second card....a 6! Runner runner straight, Mike takes down a big pot.

I left after that, but Mike was up about $1200 from his original $100 from what I saw. Table was really tilted.

Last week I was back again and saw Mike at the cage with what looked like 3 racks+ of black chips...I was disappointed I missed an apparent heads up match.

I remember this guy playing 20-40lhe at sycuan in san diego like 4-5 years ago, pulling the same all-in every hand at 1-1/1-2 tables and saying things like "this is like charity I'm donating to the poor people" and other similarly obnoxious things, same as he still does at the V. I've definitely chuckled at some of it but in general it makes everyone in the smaller games despise him as he shows very little respect for anyone that doesnt have as much money as he. A month or two ago he sat at a 1-2 table across from my 2-5 game at the V and immediately started explaining to some middle aged lady that he usually plays 200 times bigger than this because he has so much more money than everyone at the table, and she was just like what the **** are you telling me this for?

I remember something about him being banned from a lot of cardrooms in the san diego area because of his antics, but then he started showing up at Oceans 11 a year or two ago, playing in the limit games, maybe they lifted the ban or something idk, this is all hearsay I could be wrong. I also used to hear back in the day that he had some start-up or something that made him a bunch of money and that it definitely wasn't all form poker. People definitely didnt avoid his ring games. I've played with him at 5-5nl at Oceans where he wasn't at all pulling any antics and tried to play seriously trying to win, and he was pretty terrible tbh. Thats NL though.

His behavior and personality in general seem super annoying and arrogant, then again I don't know him so if people that do, seem to think he's an ok guy then I'm sure they know better. To everyone else he's like an obnoxious twelve-year old with money who's had way too much pepsi.

As said before he prefers HU limit, so there's a good reason people would want to play in ring games against him.

Definetly find characters like this spice up the game and make live a lot more interesting than the usual sound of silence perforated by the odd shuffling of chips.

For almost 3 years Mike and I have flipped a coin for $100 every time we've seen each other.

I played with Mike on day one of Aussie Millions ME. Like someone already said... hes super annoying, but hes kinda funny at the same time. Takes a little time to warm up to, but Im sure once u get to know him, hes a really nice guy..

His NL game wasnt very good (sorry ). It was too influenced by his LHE game. He also seemed to really love the game, and the social aspect of playing more than most ppl. I'm sure we'll see him around for a while!

But if I drive to golf in my modern golf shoe, then I have to take them out of the boot the night before and remember them at 06.00 am; I think all golfers know the risk of separating clubs from shoes...those comfy christmas slippers are gonna look pretty lame on the first tee.

Socks and sandals in the car are the way to go - nothing better than slipping tired feet into (sockless) sandals after golf.

Crazy Mike is a baller.

I've played with Mike twice (and been within earshot a few other times) and he's pretty much the most unpleasant person to be at a table with that I've ever encountered. He's just non-stop abusive to everyone, especially older recreational players who just want to be left alone. He does this thing where he asks people stupid questions, like what their favorite food is or how many siblings they have or whatever over and over again and won't let them not answer. He forces people to talk to him then interrupts them to ask new questions or tell them how much he loves Pepsi. It sounds sorta innocuous but after a couple hours of this **** in his too-loud crazy person strident monotone, it gets pretty intolerable.

He was doing this to some poor 50-something guy in a Doyle's Room hat at a table with me in a 1500 mixed LHE/NLHE WSOP event when the guy broke down and started crying, said something about how he'd just found out on the last break that his brother had died, and begged Mike to stfu. Mike did not stfu.

He seems like such a lunatic that its almost hard to hold it against him, but at the same time I've never seen someone more deserving of being barred from a live poker room, with the exception of actual cheaters. I'm sure he drives people away and costs the casino money every time he shows up.

To be fair, a bunch of people I'm acquainted with and like, seem to like him. So maybe I just caught him on a bad day, or maybe he's a different guy away from the table.

He just seems like an annoying dbag, I'm not sure how people can find him likable at all. Unless he acts differently outside of the poker room, but that is the only place I've met him.

If he's blind shoving every hand, I can't imagine him driving too many people away from the table(s).

some kid who i now know is "crazy mike" was playing hu w/like 100k ish at another table
he comes to our table w/like 5-6 racks of big chips stacked on top of each other and drops them on the table and goes "IS THIS THE BIG GAME HERE? IS THIS THE BIG GAME? WHERE'S THE BIGGGG GAME?" etc.

Kind of cute how a guy who goes on about how he's looking for "the big game" chooses to play at the Venetian rather than Bellagio.

Saw "Crazy Mike" at Mirage a few weeks ago playing a noob hu 100/200 limit mixed games.. each looked to have bought in with around 12k in and within less than an hour, crazy mike had felted the guy.. Not sure of the exact amount, but he felted this guy pretty damn quick.. very quiet and they played right in the middle of the card room, in the open..

Yeah. But I'm sure he's really a nice guy once you get to know him.

DEF a true statement.. He has been known to do this for years, and while it works sometimes, most of the time people are just laughing at him.. He was seen doing this at the Venetian a couple months ago and the floor asked him to either (a) knock it off or (b) gtfo.. I have only seen him there a few times since..

Id much rather play with someone like him who livens up the game than a bunch of 21 yr olds with their headphones on and silent the entire time ( IKE )
