Who buys poker merchandise? - Poker News

There are some people who are paid to wear it, there are some people that get it for free, there are some people who have been given it by an oblivious relative, but is there anyone who actually buys all this poker related bull****?

Does anyone regularily drink pro-player? How about Chan's energy drink? Does anyone wear a poker brat shirt?

Aunts and Uncles of high school kids that play poker buy it for b-day and X-mas presents because they dont know what else to get them and know they play poker. I think that makes up 90% of the market.

During each of the last two WSOPs I've been forced to purchase a hoodie to deal with the unbearable cold in the Amazon Room. A smarter man would've brought the '06 hoodie back in 07. Buying one of those things is akin to highway robbery.

i got a fulltilt baseball cap because it had a bottle opener on the peak which i thought was cool.600 points or something.. there is never a bottle opener around when you need one.

The clothing thing is crazy....watching the CardPlayer Lifestyles show with Hellmuth, he was showing off his "PokerBrat" t-shirts/hats....I'm thinking...who the F is going to buy that. I would feel like the biggest tool in the world if I wore that to a poker room.
And the energy drink. Really?

But on the other hand....look at all the people with NASCAR jackets. Anything more ridiculous than a grown man in a M&M multi colored racing jacket? Dupont Auto Finish? Viagra? UPS?

But you see it all the time.

Without guessing....does anyone really know how much Yang would get for looking like a total D-Bag? It's got to be a big number....but keep in mind he was like 8th in chips going into the final table, so it was no lock that he was going to win.

I... like PH have a new clothing line comming out... its called wilk99 and you too can be just like me.
With my amazing stats and great poker instints it wont be long before i need to restock my wearhouse (closet).
my roi is an amazing 3% and i am a net looser of $500.00.

edit: But never paid anything for poker merch. I have gotten two poker shirts as gifts, however.

When I first started getting into poker, my mom bought me a pair of pajama pants with poker chips on them and a t-shirt that said "All-in!"

I was 23 or so at the time. Still have the jam pants and occasionally wear them.

I like sparkle clothing or just crazy looking gothy stuff. I would die to be able to rock the goth thing like I used to when I was 12 and 13 but I think spikes and chains would probably scare too many people!
