There's more:
- Deals are a complete ego dispute most of the time. It's quite common for people to reject very good deals just because someone said "I want more because I'm better", so it's totally plausible that even a low stakes player might reject a deal when a shorter stack is asking for more. Specially when you've already secured a huge prize.
- What if his backer was giving him advice during the deal? Nothing wrong with that and it's also super common for obvious reasons.

Ya. It is also curious that Patrick knows very well that the $122 refund has nothing to do with this case, but yet he pretends he doesn't know, just to imply that he was correct and the player was banned.
Which also confirms that it's is just an ego issue.
