People in Portugal can only play on pokerstars FRESPT. So maybe all the immigrants have a stable or the pros play like ***,* reach the final table and then call their "boss" or you are just salty.

It happened. IIRC the guy put in like 99% of his stack.

They were on the bubble and Patrick was very short himself... shortest guy put himself all but a couple of chips in... folds to whale in BB whom had them well covered who tanked for a long while and Patrick was spamming the chat that it's a must jam with ATC as shorty had 3 BB's.... all well live streaming as well.. it was all pretty bizarre. Only me and I think two others even brought it up in chat at the time despite what someone said earlier. Patrick refused to acknowledge it in chat after & supposedly didn't even remember it when I asked him in his PG&C later on which is worrying in itself but he admitted it was OOL if it happened. Like I said it was probably a spur of the moment thing where he wasn't even thinking what he was doing.

for spins they hired excellent players who can evaluate the quality of play, not just playing style. while you are right that the playing style can adjust to the specific tournament stage, there is still the possibility to evaluate how well the player plays early and then compare it to the FT performance.

This just opens up a massive can of worms.. so you are saying I can FT a big guarentee tournament and then massively change gears to exploit player / table dynamics and based on some 'excellent' players opinion whether I have been ghosted or not I could have my funds seized.. this is ridiculous

Literally in irgyption (w.e his name is) 's tweet there is a picture saying someone was punished and he got refunded like $120 or w.e as his portion from the tournament

So here's the truth:

1- No money was confiscated, otherwise egption would've gotten first prize (a $42.000 refund), but all he got was $122, which means the email is from an unrelated case. Egptions knows this very well.

2- egption's ABI is $12. Supossedly the biggest evidence is that the winner's ABI is $5 and he played well. Maybe he's also watching the bencb course?

3- The other evidence is the guy negotiating hard on the deal, which Patrick suspects a low ABI player would never do. But Patrick himself also plays a low ABI and was asking for more. In addition, if the guy is backed by Standard Backing, he does not have 100% of himself, which makes it easier for him to negotiate.

4- Patrick himself confirms in a tweet that he did not play against the guy earlier in the tournament, so how could he possible accuse him of changing styles? How could he possible say "it felt too ****ing blatant"?

Yeah like stars doesn't have enough on their hands with cheaters and other security stuff which they seem to be shorthanded with these days.

I think you're right. Watched the replay, and this is what it seems like to me.

Tardif just wants to make up a story to himself, so he can brag/whine to anyone who will listen.
He begged for 3k more, because a 6-figure sum is a better sounding brag than a 5-figure sum.
Because he knew he probably wasn't going to win any more. If he was so much better than the other player, as he claimed, he would play to win & prove it.
Instead he tries to trash talk the brazil guy, which goes nowhere. And then continues to whine afterwards about the story he has made up, even though he has won $100K.
(there's a bit where he goes on arguing in the deal that he 'deserves' an extra 3K, which just seems odd & dislikeable. Tries to get money by insulting people, great plan... lol)

The brazilian is way ahead by the second time they call for a deal. So it seems understandable, he doesn't want to just give up money because the other guy whines a lot, and they are trying to steal pieces of it. He even seems like he would have taken a straight deal, without extra money being given away. Earlier in the FT, he says something in Brazilian Portuguese about his surprise at being on the FT, probably because he really is just some guy from Brazil.

Have watched this guy playing on twitch,when he was staked to play $15 spins,didnt seem to be able to beat them,and spent most of his time whinging about how bad his deal was (and wanting out of it) and believing his stakers should be allowing him to play $100 spins instead of the $15 ones,doesnt surprise me at all that hes a bad loser, very arrogant when talking about rec players, as if they have no right to be on the same table as him never mind beat someone as skillfull as himself,a very arrogant person.

Yeah that egption guy is nowhere near as good as he thinks, and no wonder the winner didn't want to give him ev.

It's already been hinted at ITT but if you play online poker in 2018 you accept tacitly that this stuff goes on all the time. So why would there even be any outrage? If you don't like it hit up your local casino instead.

When he says something I think a healthy degree of skepticism is in order.

I'm glad that someone else has noticed that Patrick was complaining, walking around his room ranting, about the exact same behavior he was exhibiting.

The argument that a low ABI player can't negotiate hard at a FT is beyond me. How has everyone forgotten wont million guy
