Is Kirk Morrison still playing many tournaments lately? I know he doesn't like to play full time as it wears him out quickly and he also had some bad gambling habits in the past which he does not want to fall back in to. His results are pretty sick from his short return to poker about 2-3 years ago when DN was apparently staking him. Seems like an extremely talented player and a really cool guy.

He had a 5th place at a WPT in December, but apart from that he doesn't appear to have done much.

Kirk Morrison is in that beyond-elite class of poker genius where they have incredible success whenever they play poker, but they spend the large majority of their time away from the poker world. They show up to one event every once in a while, sometimes win the thing, sometimes only make the final table.

Does anyone who has played with him want to give their opinion on how he plays?

not that i give a **** about what kirk morrison does, he just seems like one of those guys that does whatever the **** he wants without giving a **** what people think and that's ****ing awesome.

Based on watching his interviews, I think I'd be more jealous of this guys life than any other pro I can think of (ok except Ivey). He seems to have a great perspective on things and just goes with the flow. I guess the fact that he's an uber talented poker player allows him this freedom though as he can just hit the live tournament scene when ever he feels the need and make some serious money. Seems to love New Zealand also and from what I know about the place, it seems to be a perfect fit for his easy going personality. I'd love to know how he plays though, he's one of the 'old school' but obviously is well able to adjust since his results in recent years have been sick. From interviews hearing his talk about hands he seems to just have great live instinct and can read players very very well. Definitely seems to have a bit of 'genius' like quality though.

yeah back when he played kirk was my fav player to watch on tv. always chilled, having fun, laid back, chatting and winning from what i could tell. i even had a bet on him one yr in wsop main and he went pretty deep, last 200 or so iirc.

i saw him at a bar in West Covina, bought him NEWCASTLE & talked with him for a while he's one of the coolest people ive ever met, told me a story about the WPT championship, how him & Mortensen were basically flipping a coin for the title, he said he refused to make a deal he just wanted to play for it heads up. So he said he bout a house in covina & lives with his girlfriend, who's scalding hot by the way.

Played with him at LAPC in Feb. Very chill guy.

I think he's playing for the Jaguars at the moment.

Looks like he's somewhat back...maybe he'll make an appareance at the WSOP this year.

Played with him in a couple LAPC mixed events. He’s an interesting guy and fun to have on the table.
