Cliffs: Josh Arieh (atlangela) and Mark Wilds (Big CY) used to share holecards in the online omaha games. They got caught a couple times, amateurishly typing them in accidentally to chat, among other evidence.

PokerStars turned a blind eye, and even let Josh Arieh change his name after he final tabled the 2004 wsop and was under contract somewhere else. If you are well known enough they let you do this even to this day. After this scandal, they did actually force him to use his own account, "razorbax" instead of his wifes (her name is Angela).

Mark Wilds continued to get involved in scandal while Josh Arieh somehow kept his nose clean since.

Conclusion: Most everyone was cheating even before recent scandals. Even since the days of PlanetPoker and Mike Caro.

Yep, and they never changed. Josh Arieh was quite a weak player at the time, he used to lose a lot. He only had a winning strategy in tournaments then. Then he started winning pretty big and very suspiciously.

He had to cheat to survive.

The 80-160 mix of games on UB used to include Ted Forrest, Jerry Buss, Ben Affleck, and a few other celebrities I can't think of now. Josh Arieh was a big winner with Mark Wilds in this.

Ted Forrest, arguably one of the best mixed games player was a big loser, along with Mike Matusow who at the time destroyed everyone that didn't superuse HU at o8. almost forgot Phil Hellmuth, he lost big too.

He was allowed to change it. He was under contract for Bodog for a time, that's the official reason that was given from PokerStars. Hence, the thread. People like you should know.
