I have the best story here.

I brought the book 'Mike Caros book of Poker tells' to a live poker game when I was first getting into poker about 5 or 6 years ago and I was reading it in between hands, (not as a joke).

The dealer straight up told me to 'leave that sh*t at home next time' and other people agreed.



the book itself is absolutely massive

I just start playing poker for a few weeks when i rivered a royal flush, but i didn't know it...

I raise on the river and the other guy called me, i say "A high flush" and turn my card over, and the whole table goes like "WTF that's ROYAL FLUSH!!"

I was blatant like "what? Royal flush? Oh ok i just got a royal flush actually, i see"

I sneezed an enormous amount of snot directcly into a dealers face at Hollywood casino in Indiana a couple of weeks ago while she was dealing the flop. She went home.

Who would have thought Ray's most embarasssing moment would have been in this thread.

I once lost a $93,000 pot in a $100/$200 nlh game. I thought I had a royal flush but turns out I only had 8 high, whoops.

I was playing at a tournament recently with a blind woman. She had her husband whispering the cards into her ear and calling the action for her, she was seated to my right and her husband was sitting behind her, actually between the two of us. She was really sharp and a tough player, never had a problem remembering the cards and the action. Didn't slow up the game at all.

There was one rather interesting moment for me, though. She won a nice pot and got excited. In her glee, she reached down and rubbed her husband's thigh. At least she thought it was her husband's thigh. Imagine my surprise to feel something touching me there; my first thought was that it was a purse strap but then I saw it was her hand rubbing my thigh. I didn't know exactly what to do or say, fortunately her husband noticed right away and said, "That's not my leg you're rubbing, it's the gentlemen next to you."

She immediately withdrew her hand and apologized and then laughing said, "You'll notice he didn't seem to mind."

Later I told this story to one of my favorite dealers and he quipped, "So, is that your idea of a blind date?"

mine is embarrassing and huge lol at the same time. Welll i once looked at A4spades, or so i thought it was(when it was really A4 of clubs) Well 3 spades hit the flop and i thought i was holding the stone cold nuts, unless the board paired(which it didnt). So i didnt even look back at my cards thruout the hand because it was easy to remember.

So after the river came out my opponent shoved allin for $1200 and i snap called and said"nut flush" and turned over my hand and everyone was like"waaaaaaaaaaat, u misread ur hand dood" im like"omfg im such an idiot"... turns out the guy who shoved allin hesitated and stood up and was like"its good" and ran off.... looooooooooooooool

Eventually we're all-in on a AQJ rainbow flop (omnomnom) some player said he folded a suited Ace because of the pf action and is unhappy.

I look at villain's hand at showdown and I shout "Yes I'm freerolling!!" (wat?)

Involved in a big hand trying to figure out what to do. Put a cigarette in my mouth... the wrong way around. Sat there absent-mindedly trying to light the filter for ages without even thinking about why it wasn't lighting, was far too focused on the hand. Naturally everyone at the table pissing themselves, and it took a full five minutes for me to realise wtf I was doing.

Flop all diamonds (so I thought). I check raise the flop, bet huge on turn and shove river putting over $1200 into the pot. Top set calls me down. I say flush and turn over my hand. He looks, checks the board, and says uhhh no dude. You have 5 high.

I thought the Ah was the Ad.

I'm sure it's happened to many people but I felt like the biggest idiot.

Playing live in Venetian, I asked a cocktail waitress for an Amstel only to have her tell me she was actually a massage girl. I probably should've noticed the cushion she was carrying around.

playing 1/2 nlhe at harrahs. i get dealt KQhh, or so i thought. everyone is staring at me. my shirt is covered with mustard. flop comes T98hh. my mom fixes my collar. some guy bets out. i **** my pants. i go all in. guy calls. i actually have K5. i'm naked. i'm actually at my high school prom. guy says nice moves macguiver. everyone laughs.

Jeez, you must have been humiliated. Im surprised you didnt get arrested or at least barred from the casino.

Was dealt A7 with 4 left at local casino. I opened, a friend was in the big blind. He looked at me to get a read, and meaning to say "Good call, sir.. put it in there" I blurted out Ace Seven!... When the table awkwardly looked at me, i continued to make it look like a joke by continuing "Are....The cards i have in my hand" then started laughing.

Borgata 5/10 I sit at a running game. Table tells me they are playing 5/10/20 (remember kiddies no straddle in AC) and asks if I agree. One BB later and I am arguing with everyone at the table that I wanted to raise...lol
No action for my Aces that hand!!

Once at the 5/10 venetian game I squeezed as bluff and showed a low card before everyone had folded. Interestingly enough the villain called instead of reraising. Still missed the flop though.
