What makes you cringe? What makes you cringe?

When the servers don't cut off the "fun" player who's drinking far too much, and you know it's going to end with him melting down and screaming at staff and threatening players and getting kicked out and he'll never be back, and then it does.

I just want to punch these people so bad when I sit and play.

Past weekend I was at Foxwoods and this hippie looking bum had a beanie on and headphones, mouth always wide open and tanking. His voice nasally of course.

Can’t stand them. Bash the nerds.

There is a thread going about "what make you cringe?". It includes some gems about non-sense people say at the table that is super annoying. Like this one:

"1) People who tell you they folded 10-5 off when the flop comes 10 10 5. Just stop talking, if you're playing that hand, you're playing every hand and the money you would have won on this pot would dwarf the endless buyins you'd lose playing that. Just stop. No one cares. I just stare back with glazed dead eyes "

Or this one

"4) OMC's who say, "why did you raise? We're trying to win the bad beat here" when the bad beat is large. Like I'm supposed to sit here for hours on end and just limp every bad beat eligible hand or every hand for that matter? What am I supposed to do on the flop? Am I allowed to play if I hit something? I mean, if I play, then no one can suck out the other end of the bad beat? What are we doing here under your rules? If limping all day is what you want, tell about 4 tables of guys, "let's all table change to table X so we can play that way" and create your own loser table. I came to play, if my $10 preflop raise at 1-2 causes you to fold bad-beat eligible hands, well what are you playing for $10? Anything at all? "

Something I can think about:
A horrible player wins the pot after sticking it in with horrible odds and then says: "I knew I was beat but 8Ts is my favorite hand. I never loose with it. So I had to call".

What is the most annoying stuff or stupid things you hear at the table?

It is "annoying" to you for someone essentially to say out loud, I am a fish and play for recreational purposes ?

What is wrong with you as a poker player that you can't tolerate horrible play being self-rationalized by a horrible player based upon one lucky outcome ?

Do you bang on the side of the boat in response ?

The most annoying thing I hear is someone whining, "how could you play that/call, etc????"

If you properly set the pot odds long term, don't begrudge a poor play its occasional win from the wrong side of the odds. That's variance, live with it.

Never berate/educate a poor player who gets lucky and enjoys playing poorly, what's the point ?

btw, why do you automatically believe his statements ?

Besides obvious things like criticizing other players and strat talk, Bad beat jackpot talk is annoying. Especially when it's really big. Every 5 minutes you hear "Come on dealer, give us a bad beat so we can all go home."

What you are hearing really is "Go ahead and steal my blind." or "I'll be seeing a flop with anything that possibly might draw to a jackpot." Either way....

lol, that one is pretty easy to correct .... just refuse to act in turn until this subrosa angle shooter first makes a proper check.

Do that twice .... problem solved.

This one shouldn't annoy you. This one makes me smile. It's like someone is playing the 72 game by themselves but no one has to pay the bounty if they win.

My actual most annoying line to hear
"I knew you had that"
(When they clearly had no idea)

Dneg's hairplugs.

$1/2 "Pros" who live within 10-20 minutes of casino and show up with a backpack bigger than what I'd bring for a weekend trip

Live, when you chop with the blinds and they have to waste 5 seconds to show you what they're chopping with. Hey, look, I had A10 off... I mean, look, it's a good hand, look at my hand, hey look... I had a good hand.

I do not care what you chopped with, I don't ever care about any of your hands, ever.

Like others have said, I don't care that you had J6 on a 66J flop. Don't elbow me and whisper to me that you had J6, stop.

Before the TV poker games go on the air the producer probably tells the players don't sit there like a bump on a log---talk. And unfortunately a lot of the players really overdo it and thus some hands you get 2 or 3 players (who are not in the hand) talking at the same time about stuff nobody gives a **** about. What's even worse is when its a player you never heard of doing most of the talking.
