THIS.
In my country live poker is like you get in a zoo with only brain dead idiots. Imagine the worst live poker ethics you have ever seen and multiply it by 3.
They know they cannot be hit in the face, so loud mouthing is standard and talking down to dealers happens almost any other minutes. If you are the fish of the game you could get away with anything.
A drunk idiot from Norwegia sit next to me and kept touching me while burping in my ears. Even as he mumbled I could smell that rotting beer smell from his guts. I asked him politely: please don't touch me, its the 15th time now, I tried to not pay attention but you just ruin my experience.
His answer: shut up
Next time he touched me I asked more firmly: dont do it again.
Answer: what the ****
It happened again. I told the floor he is like ohh its nothing, keep playing.
I just waited for another open seat but it never came.
Then after 50 times (no exaggeration) I asked again: dont do it
He stared at me start yelling: what the **** man.
So I elbowed him in the ribs.
Guy understand what will be the implications of disrespecting me. He didnt do it again afterwards.
But a guy at the table start heckling: what are you doing man, this rich people come here to play and you disrespect them? What does it tell him about our country's poker culture? You are a shame.
5 minutes later the guy lectured me starts yelling at the dealer, saying **** your mother and other serious stuff just because he gets shitty hands preflop... Couple of times he mucked his hand before his turn and 3 times showing his hands preflop with other players in the pot: "look at me how bad I run". Ohh the irony.
