Re: Welcome Back Kozai (+Jim Ryan): More UltimateBet execs slinking back into US "regulated" ga

I just confirmed with the Director of Online Gaming at Borgata that they remain under contract with Bwin and that nothing is changing. The story is false.

Not quite. Yes, they remain under contract with bwin.party. Your source at Borgata has no other option but to say what they said as a result.

They would have to break that contract to switch (or allow it to run out).

The story may be over-reported (i.e., the change may not be a done deal), but the basic premise that Borgata might switch following BP's acquisition by GVC has been long-discussed and is a distinct possibility at a minimum.

In any case, false or not doesn't change the thrust of the thread, as Pala is already approved and active in NJ's market. Whether it's for poker or casino is sort of besides the point (except symbolically I guess).

People, mostly 2+2 members will still sign-up and proceed to complain about not being paid or bot collusion like every other site.

Kubrick faked the moon landing

Flouride was a CIA sponsored program

Denver International Airport is an underground bunker facade for wealthy New World Order types

Greg Pierson ran UltimateBet

One of these things is not like the others

^^

I liked this part:

Quote:
Pierson told GeekWire that he has not been asked by reporters in the past to confirm details of his connection to UltimateBet, so mistakes abound in coverage of his company.

NBC has this to say on the topic:

http://www.nbcnews.com/id/26563848/n.../#.Vs548uZWJM4

Quote:
IeLogic co-founders Pierson and Karl, and other officials at Iovation, did not respond to msnbc.com’s repeated phone calls seeking comment and refused to meet with a reporter who visited the company’s Portland headquarters.
I have also reached out to them for comment in the past and they did not respond. They have also never reached out to me for a correction.

I just sent her an e-mail. I may make the e-mail public at some point, we'll see. I also advised her to get in touch with Mike Brunker at MSNBC regarding the legitimacy of Pierson's claims about being open to interviews.

Re: Welcome Back Kozai (+Jim Ryan): More UltimateBet execs slinking back into US "regulated" ga

NGC posted eight conditions of Iovation's licensing. One is that they can have no association with Russ Hamilton. Another is that the company must post $25k for an investigative fund.

Here are the points from an article I wrote at USP (forum sponsor):

I started to but backed off. I think that author did a good job of balancing the comments with links to articles that tell a different story.

I assume Haley has contacted GeekWire. If not, I will.

I would be happy to devote an article to Iovation telling their side. I encourage them to give an interview without scripted questions.

I think it is an important part of the story. It should be balanced though. If Iovation says nobody has ever reached out to them for their side of the UB story, it is fair to challenge that statement with what NBC published, as well as my experience.

I contacted them through the form on their website. My own experience with those is that they do not always work. Spam filters can catch some return email addresses. OTOH, NBC says they called repeatedly and showed up at the office and still couldn't get an interview, much less a statement.

Maybe NBC will be motivated to revisit the topic since it seems an open invitation is out there.
