The humans are gonna be up more than 600k after this session almost halfway through the challenge. They seem to have improved at playing the bot far more than the bot has at playing against them.

Biggest storylines now will be who wins by more, bjorn or wcg (matters for their prize money), and can jason get plus. Maybe can the humans beat the bot by more than 20bb/100 is another one.

Can I ask a potentially stupid question? I have only been watching for a little bit. Are there four different versions of the bot? That is, is the underlying program exactly the same for the four incarnations of the bot(s) vs. the four humans, or has the bot/programmers "adapted" to the individual humans differently?

omg, wcg had a straight with 53 on a 7649dd board. Bot raised his stack except left 3k behind. Instead of shoving wcg called, flush hit on the river. bot had 53dd

This would not be a big deal in real poker except had he gotten it in on the turn, it would have been an equity chop, this way with no equity chop he lost his entire stack. Of course it would have saved him some money if the diamond had not hit on the river, so it was the same in terms of EV but this way he increased his variance.

Before current session, humans up about 650k after 39k hands or so. They are playing 80k hands.

Cheet has said multiple times that wcg is so much better than him (in earnest). Don't think it was modesty as much as general respect for wcg's skillz. On that note, wcg is currently down 100k this session.

It would be really interesting to see how the bot would perform playing against itself in each matchup.

e.g. Doug is up $450k vs Claudico
Claudico-DougBot would be up $250k playing vs Claudico
