LoL are you kidding me ? You just put Dan Bilzerian in there. Just stop posting from now on. Christ my head hurts.

Bilzerian may be the biggest earner in poker.

It guess it's safe to assume you know more about the private high stakes games he plays in than a guy like Haralabos.

I know a few people who plays in the games at vegas with him, he sits down and plays one hand every few hours, takes pics of his stakes claims to be a winner and then leaves.

Bilzerian mostly plays in private cash games, but this thread is about Chad Power, so show some respect FFS.

Except Haralabos has confirmed them to an extent.

Right, so when you, say "lol no way he's won millions" we should believe you over this?

Again this thread is about Chad Power, not Bilzerian. I would have never mentioned him ITT if I had known LiveActionPro had such a hardon for him that they would deliberately side track the entire conversation to be about Bilzerian. Then again, how am I to know that he would have a boner for Bilzerian and not Hellmuth? That's impossible for me to ascertain.

G!! lol are you for real using this? Everything in that video was speculation but we have to take the word from people he knows we can trust? We both know Dan got the wealth from dad, it doesn't mean he can't go to these games and still gamble and win big and loose big.

I think "lose" is the most misspelled word on the internet.

Power was on the Thinking Poker Podcast a while back and came off imo as being a pretty lousy person, his level of self-satisfaction was hard to endure. was it kierkegaard who made the observation that at the moment a man is most pleased with himself he is likely to be acting at his most evil? not calling the man evil, but Power talking about his team working at Baltimore sure sounded like collusion to me and he was very pleased with himself as he described how it works

I think it is pretty rare for the same publication to reprint the same article so quickly. It is pretty commonplace for an article to be syndicated though wire services (AP) or newspapers in multiple cities owned by the same group.

Rare? I've never heard of it happening before. And I don't think this is a syndication issue. This is an article written by a Washington Post reporter that was first printed in the Post on December 30 or 31 (I'd have to go find the issue again to be sure) and then reprinted by that same publication a little over a week later.

I'm trying to imagine the business and/or editorial rationale behind this decision. We're they having trouble filling the Metro section this past Sunday? Did they think they could fill some column inches of the paper with recycled pap and their readership wouldn't notice?

Or have I missed something my whole life? Do newspapers commonly reprint articles word for wrote in separate editions of the paper?

You win. I don't think of those as misspellings, but I guess they are. (I think most people making that mistake, actually think the word "of" is being correctly used. Yes, they're morons, I know.) But lose/loose has got to be a close second.

Lol that marketplace thread was so cringe-worthy, as was this article and his entire persona.

We'll see what else ends up being posted about him here... popcorn.gif

I've played with Chad a couple of times and he seems like a nice enough guy -- certainly not a jerk or a nit at the table. He blew through 5000 today in an hour, 2500 or so to me -- and politely told me "nice hand" from the other end of the table. He's definitely chatty and can keep up his end of a conversation.

I thought he looked kind of lame from the article but my impression of him ilve is much better. Although he may be trying to butter me up, as I'm a rec he ought to be able to beat.
