agreed, just compared to standard middle aged american he's right in the chunky part of the bell curve

and yeah, seeing him without any introduction, i'd say he lived a hard life, but that's more neck tattoo than anything else

main point was he doesn't look sickly or anything like the impression i got from the earlier comments, reminds me of the ivey thread where people are used to seeing the ivey from 10 years ago and are surprised he's gotten older and gained weight

I'm confused as to how his session went as well. He started at 30k and just steadily climbed to the point where he was around 78k? at one point. But the commentators made it sound like he was in for $60k and cashed out around 57K.

I didn't watch the stream straight through but there was a point where Andy jumped up quite a bit, from like 50k to 100k. But I also couldn't find a hand where they clashed and Viffer had to add-on. It's possible he just added on, but I couldn't find a spot in the steam for that either.

It's hard to jump around on my phone but I may get some time to try and find out what they're talking about.

There was one comment where they said he was down 'early', but I really don't remember a spot where he punted and had to add on .. just a steady climb.

He did make a few 'bad' folds OOP, but he also didn't know the Players that well and that's just live poker when you high VPiP. GL

OK .. found it.

At 2:44 Viffer loses a hand to Andy by bluffing off 3K on River (27,200 after the hand) .. then he somehow adds on 30k without any detection on the stream other than his 5k chips are now out in front and a bit taller than before.

So basically for the next 3:15 he breaks even with a peak of 78K?

Previous to this, maybe 10 minutes, the Floor comes around and takes chips from Andy (for change?) and then whispers to Viffer and Lynne. Can't hear anything from Viffer but Lynee 'confirms' she's in for 14k at that moment.

It's very possible that Viffer quietly added on but moved his 5k chips out front for the table to see them. At 3:51 when he's at 68K you see that the 5Ks are 'back' closer to the rail and possibly even out of sight to seats 7 to 9. I'm not suggesting that he's hiding chips, I think pretty much everyone knew what everyone else had in their stack, just trying to figure out the flow of his session.

I may take a minute and research how Andy's stack got north of 100k, but not right now. GL

Going by what the commentator and producer of the show Ryan Feldman was saying Viffer was in for 60k so I would say that's going to be an accurate statement.

He ended the stream at $57k so he lost $3k on the stream.

He was up about $25k at one point, but then lost that when he semi-bluffed a FD vs an overpair and bricked out vs Kym with just about 40min left to go.

When watching the show I noticed that Viffer's stack suddenly jumped and then came back down. I just assumed the chip count was inaccurate.

Andy added on at one point but he won a big pot with a flush on the river against Ronnie's flopped set of aces.

Viff's VPIP was around 50% the entire night but there wasn't much post flop action.

He may have been up 'big' twice. Pretty sure he was up to about $48K before the slide back to $30K and the add-on. Then he ran the $60K up to $78K or so, maybe $85K .. and then the brick out (and $3k payoff with AQ) towards the end as you noted.

I think his situational radar was pretty damn good the whole night. He really didn't want to pay off the $3K late while he did make some 'exploitative' folds when OOP, but that's to be expected IMO. GL

The commentators mentioned a few times that they were having issues with the chip counts as they had to restart their graphics machine. At one point you can see Ryan Feldman go out to the table to get a count and say it over headset to the producers.

The 'chat' with the Floor was kind of interesting. Was he prodding Viffer to add on to make the stream better?

He mentioned plenty of times during stories that he just 'pays for it' when it comes to things at home. So I'm not really sure he would need a stake for a game this size, but you never know.

This table definitely wasn't in 'gamble' mode .. or even 'poker' mode for that matter too much. Just like any other game where the chips flow to 2-3 seats from the rest of the table.

If you were/are tuning in to see the Viffer of old it's not going to be there very much.

The pot where Viffer smashes Olivier Busquet with a 5 on the river is one of my favourite hands from Poker after Dark

I'm always rooting for the Viff.

The PAD hand where he makes a prop bet that he was beat when he wasn't (basically out right lied and reneged on the bet) is when I lost all respect.

Can't recall who the hand was against, just that Viffers acted like a real (lying) jerk.
