I believe it’s a noun as used. Pivots being the things that were done, not the action of pivoting.

Wait, so if used in a sentence:

"This ace of clubs is very bad for my range. My SDV has pivoted."

Or:

"This ace of clubs is great for my range. Instead of checking back I am going to go for a pivot."

Please I need to know so I don't look like a fool when discussing strat in live games.

I know I'm stating the obvious but what he is doing right is playing the soft games, that's about it

Is that so the players will get distracted by the strat talk and not hit on your wife?

Player pool tendencies is a delicious justification for what they do when you consider they’re almost all allegedly pros and or students of his.

My money is in this being done with the intent of legitimizing himself in the eyes of clueless backers and ‘building his brand’ to get into private games. Seems somewhat less likely that he’s doing it to build a ******ed table image but hard to say since we’ve only seen his televised play. Maybe he just always has it when the cameras aren’t on.

Berkey does more to protect the ecosystem and save the whales than Greenpeace. He has my thanks for keeping the games soft.

Here are some S4Y PLO terms to start them on their way:

Dangler detachment distancing.
Primary 3rd hole card advantage.
Board coverage balancing ranges.
Flush draw repping ratios.
Volcanic value merge
Reverse blocker bet advantage
3 bet sizing stimulator
Blocker bias deviation
Combo draw devolution decay
The picture card paralysis matrix

The 4 day residential S4Y PLO course will come in at the astonishingly great
value for money price of only $4500.

Looking into the future...……. a quote from Day 1 of the new S4Y PLO course at S4Y HQ Las Vegas.

With the board showing 9TK rainbow the eager student OOP and holding 789T single suited when asked what his play would be, responds:

PLO Student: I have great equity here, two pair and an up and down straight draw, I am therefore going to check raise.

Berkey: Whoa, whoa, whoa fella, if you check raise here you are in danger of landing yourself in the picture card paralysis matrix.

............…………………………………………………………...………...

This is why S4Y's training is the best.

I am glad that I watched this video because previously I was unaware of the semi-bluff concept and that to do it I had to go via "capitalisation", i.e. I had to make a bet with capital (money) in order to increase my capital by winning some of my opponent's money when they fold, or winning a lot of their money when they call and I hit my draw.

This is a big moment for me in my poker career, learning about the power of the check raise semi-bluff. Call me a fish if you like, but I had previously never heard of it.

Thank you S4Y

"If we think of it as a spectrum where realization is one end of the spectrum and polarization the other, capitalization is the pivot point of the two"

A lot of key points to take away from this insightful video. Make sure to watch twice or thrice to digest all these gems

That part was incorrect. Spectrum realization is a function of aggression fibrosis coefficient. The more you fibrose, the pivot point moves away from the the middle of the spectrum. It is also polarized. To the left or to the right? You can't know.

As a sidenote, one thing that tilts the utter ****ing **** out of me is the "?!" at the end of YouTube video titles to draw people in. "The student becomes the teacher?!" or Doug Polk and his nonsensical "I played a $100k buyin tournament?!" Why are you asking if it happened? You made the ****ing video m8.

yeah i don't understand the concepts they're using so dont really get what they're saying. I've been out of the trying to understand poker terms business for a long while now though. They need a video of fully explaining the concepts they're tlaking about if they're going to use them willy nilly like htis if they want people to understand what they're talking about. I have a feeling they don't though. Could be way off because im an idiot, suck at poker, don't understand poker terms.
