At the WSOP we got tourneys that start you with, 3000 chips, 5000, and
7500 and 10000, and 100k and 250k, and in the 1drop they started those guys with 5 million!

We need to turn the tables a liittle bit and make a tourney where the starting stack is 250 chips, with 1/2 blinds. 1 hr levels. I think lots of recs would enjoy it because itd be different and the pros will have a better advantage in a format like this.

better yet convert cash games to bitcoins. when you are playing 0.0001 / 0.0002 blinds with a 0.02 buy-in, recs will gamble much more since it feels like play money!

lmao whats the difference between a 250 chip tourny that starts at 1/2 and a 6000 chip tourny that starts at 25/50

What about instead of using real numbers for the chips, we use imaginary numbers. Or a logarhytmic scale. So instead of announcing a minraise, u say "i raise log(100)". Would be so awesome. Someone else could then 3bet you to the power of e or pi.

in the former you start your tourney with a 125bb stack whereas in the latter one you start off with 120bb.

make a 1 billion starting stack tourney, but they give you 1 chip and its all in or fold

Or play the whole tournament in base 5 to give the illusion of more chips and more play.

So for the Base 5 WSOP 22000 NLHE event:

Players start with 130000 chips
Blinds are 100/200 and it is on a 140 minute clock

Or 6 bb starting stacks with 4 hr levels.

or how about a tourney where its Randomized payouts.
When you bust the tourney you reach into a bag and whatever the paper tells you will be the amount you cashed for The number can be $1 or $100,000 you dont know. You can bust in dead last and win half the prizepool maybe, or get 2nd place and get back like $25 lol..

This would be great

How about a tournament where, right before each break, the bottom two stacks on each table must flip for their tournaments lives against each other?

Swedish government-monopoly-ran gambling site Svenskaspel has ran poker tournaments in their regular client with "crazy payouts", where for example 7th place pays more than 1st. Pretty hilarious tbh

This actually sounds fun as **** and I want to try it. Like GTA Online races where the last place car blows up every 30 seconds or whatever.

Would play like a flat payout satellite, then once the bubble busted finally then ppl would want to bust so to not waste time - no need to finish the tourney - so no this would be not great

Yeah just pick up a random prize...
That's the way to look at poker!
It doesn't have enough variance, let's make a complete roulette!

I think a lot of recs would enjoy a tournament where for the prize pool there won't be any money, but when the winner dies, on his deathbed, he will receive total consciousness.

so the winner would have that going for him. . . . which is nice

Amazing idea. You can only use it on the turn heads up. When you do, the dealer rummages through the deck and pulls out one of your remaining outs.

Think about the drama!

Or what about a tournament where when u playr for 10hours and reach the final table u get like 3buy ins back. Damn pokerstars already implemented this top notch feature. They are always ahead of the curve

Allin or fold. If you chop you lose and chopped pots are distributed to the other players at the table.

How about a single table single hand tourney. Chips are cash value. You can choose to play or not, but the prize pool is only what is in the middle of the table. seating order is random. Two unlucky players are forced to put money in blind. You win the tournament when every other player folds. If more than one player refuses to fold, the dealer will award the championship to the player with the best hand.

Think of how many of these tournaments you could play in a day.
