They should turn things up a notch with the mystery bounties too. Sure have million dollar bounties. But also things like "pay x dollars of Cheeno Rheems debt" or exploding dye packs like they use to deter bank robberies that you can't get off your skin for weeks.

Negative bounties? So poker becomes a bit like snakes & ladders and when you eliminate certain people you have to give away like half your stack shared amongst everyone else at the table, some are like bombs and when you eliminate that guy you get auto-eliminated too, or you're forced to buy a round of drinks for the table? How about a 'get to see your opponents hands' card, or you're forced to seat change to the right of the biggest stack at the table? Feel like we could get real weird with this

yes. overall the total money given out stays the same. so if there are 2 million worth of bounties make it 3 million in bounties and 1 million in negative bounties to make it a real gamble when you get a bounty.

If you're going to do what the original post suggests, why not just make the timebanks like bonus tournament chips, bet or raise with them whenever you want. Player has to match to call (assuming he/she has enough). Or even just make time extensions buyable with tournament chips, say like 1 BB per 30 seconds (at least in later rounds, maybe more BB in earlier rounds).

Ooh, I got a fun idea. What about as well as or instead of a bounty fund, half of the money goes towards a crossbook fund, and like 10% of all players are secret bounties that gain entry into the crossbook fund? So the payouts from the crossbook fund are in the order of bustouts of players who won a crossbook fund secret bounty card.

This is a brilliant idea and you should also be awarded any half-eaten food and drinks he had at the table too.
