Fun fact. The people who you think are crushers and printing money actually don’t play that often and frequently come from a financial position that doesn’t require to rely on poker winnings to pay the bills.
I don't think those two behaviors are mutually exclusive. If anything I imagine the degens who aren't crushers (which would be the majority of degens) are the ones most likely to engage in predatory behavior ie clubbing seals to bum hunt.

I don't care if you are still active or not, I reply anyway.

The world would be perfect if there were less or none people like you!

One day the world will be perfect......

Winning at poker is predatory by definition because you find people who are weaker than you and take their money. It's not immoral though, because the prey signed up for it.

Though I guess there's an argument for it being immoral to take money from people who are addicted to gambling, in the same way that there's a potential argument that selling alcohol is immoral because a lot of what you sell goes to people who have a problem.

Didn't read the thread. But as a pro I would say yes. I mean when people ask you at the table about a hand at casino they played terrible, any smart pro kinda tries to tell the fish its "a tough spot" or refrain from strat discussion completely or change the subject. Playing poker for a living is a hustle.

It's extremely predatory. Nowadays you get people bouncing around seats at the same table they were already on to get position on a soft player like they're playing musical chairs. It's shameful and in the long run those guys are just bad hustlers.

His comment is absolutely accurate even if it’s mostly about the bottom feeders/wannabes. But they make up the majority of “pros” anyway ...

As someone who plays in the largest NLHE games in my local casino (2/5 & 5/10/20) the biggest losers are usually showoffs/millionaires/drug dealers who'd otherwise be losing their dough to the table games and pokies, so I view taking their money as effectively winning from the casino. And I have ZERO ethical problems with that

Speaking of predatory, casinos the world over offer a variety of table games all cunningly rigged in their favor. The only one you can beat using skill is blackjack, and if they suspect you are doing this they'll ban you. Intelligent poker players winning by skillful means are haloed angels in comparison.
