firstly - it was REALLY unprofessional of the 2+2 podcast guys to send the wrong time of interview/timezone to durrrr. they are lucky they even got what they did.

after this mistake had been made, they should have postponed the show for a day or so until durrrr had the free time to do it properly. i kinda feel bad for durrrr being sort of forced to do it while out with his friends. he probably didn't want to disappoint his 'fans' and was told "the show must go on"/

as for what durrrr said.... i understand that if he played with a big fish who lost $700k last night he cannot go blabbing about specific hands in which the fish made horrible plays and who the guy is etc. this is for many reasons... most of all courtesy. also, other 'sharks' may hear about the fish and play in the game... making the game tougher for durrrr. also, the fish may hear about the podcast and subsequently be embarrassed and refrain from playing in the future.

so yeah... postpone the show or round up some mediocre last minute guest rather than inconvenience durrrr and get a ****ty interview.

also... i can't help thinking that many 2p2er could do a better job of presenting it. i mean... talking about music? what the **** is the sklansky minute about? has that guy ever even played online properly?

I find the Sklansky minutes to be very creepy.

Funny that was the best minute of the show.

its really weird to and somewhat pathetic to publicly insult someone on their interviewing abilities.

I find it hard to believe that Adam and Mike are getting ripped for this, NO ONE can make durrrr an entertaining interview.

not really.... they're prob nice guys etc... so am i. but this is their job...

and we...although not paying directly for the podcast.... fund it through listening > advertising revenue/being on this site.

i would just get better questions and a better time.

thought it was okay tbh.

the "awkward" moments were only when Tom didn't want to talk about the fish in the games and the flaws in their games, which anyone with half a brain can fully understand why.

It doesn't matter much, but he was never told the incorrect time. When we live on the west coast why would we tell him 9:00 EST?

I agree we could have done it next week or whatever, but we didn't know until about a third into the interview that he had to go. If we would have known that, we would have obv postponed it.

Anyway, it was nice of him to spend the time with us that he did. Hopefully in the future we can try again.

I must admit, I was pretty disappointed also. O well, maybe were all being too hard on the guy.

This kind of thing is WAY tougher than it looks, on both sides. That's why people have publicists and coaches and mock interviews, and interviewers do pre-interviews.

Barryg seemed to have prepared up the butt, including reading all our goofball questions in his thread. It might not be a bad idea, Adam, if you are listening, to send potential questions ahead of time to interviewees, if you don't do this already.

Maybe have a backup as well in case somebody has scheduling issues or hasn't prepared for it. You could probably get gobboboy on permanent standby.

The interview was not that terrible at all. Its not like it was the most interesting of all time but it wasn't inherently bad either. The awkwardness you speak of is exaggerated. The hosts were fine etc.

I still can't believe one of them guessed durr randomly had 28k on him and that a pro golfer might be 5/1 to hole 3 consecutive putts from 30 feet. Don't remember which host that was but he must be pretty lol to prop bet with in general. I think Durr is more +eV in prop betting than him judging from those two comments.

durrrr is an incredible poker player, and from what Ive heard also an awesome guy. He is, however, a boring interview

I don't what you're all making a fuss over tbh.

I read this thread before listening and was expecting some huge train wreck of an interview but it was just another normal interview. Not sure what you all expected. I thought it was fine.

The interview wasn't that bad, just the pokercast guys doing a poor job of leading an obviously inexperienced guest. Calling someone "socially awkward" for being a bit flat on the radio is lol.

A trainwreck is clearly an F. Like I said, I'd give this a C-

I don't think anybody called it a trainwreck. I just felt it was a letdown and could have been so much better.
