As if he's not being invited

Many people are hesitant to acknowledge homosexual fantasies they have because of the social stigma attached, because they may face abandonment from loved ones, and because such an admission can open oneself up to violent assault from certain individuals in our society. Some people who are unwilling to openly disclose such fantasies will subconsciously bring up the topic in unrelated contexts, and I can see how a neutral observer might conclude that doing so indicates some suppressed desires.

I do not care where either you or Garrett fall on the spectrum but hopefully this can help explain why your comment received such a reaction.
If a gay person asked if someone was straight or gay would you attack him for doing so? Never. So why did you attack the person who asked such a question? Treat gays just as you do everyone else. Not as special mascots. If someone is curious about something they should ask all the questions they'd like. Wondering about a person's background is normal. I realize that the brainwashed created "microaggressions" as a term to terrorize those who wish to interact with others normally but all of us should just tell these indoctrinated fanatics to go to blazes.

Most people like me aren't wealthy at all. We never oppress others. We go to work about five days a week and willfully choose not to commit crimes. I would never keep a woman or anyone else down or take advantage of others. Like 99% of my peers I have no "privilege" (just good habits and good parents!). I have nothing to apologize for. I'm sorry you got indoctrinated with such a crazy masochistic ideology.

Really? You don’t see a problem with saying, “Is he gay? I hope he’s not gay.” It has nothing to do with millennials. Do you think it’s okay to say, “Is he black? I hope he’s not black.”?

Funny how you guys bring race into everything. That's a strawman fallacy. Asking if someone is gay is fine, so is asking about anyone's background. I asked a guy the other day if he spoke Mandarin or Cantonese. I'm actually interested in the subject. Let's end this masochism and neurosis and address each other freely.

The difference is you didn't follow that by saying to him, "I hope you don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese." The full context lets you know that he wasn't asking because he was just curious and interested in the subject as you were about the guy's languages. After asking if he was gay, he actually said he hoped he's not. If you consider that just addressing each other freely, then I don't know what to tell you.

I can see that. But I'd much rather have Art sitting there as a "Character" and maybe making a few cool plays each stream than some of these really really awful players who just happen to have money and like to play poker.

Like, I'd rather watch Art fold than Julie/Abe play... I can watch Julie play at any $1/3 game.

But yes, I understand that that makes for a shitty stream

...well yea, THAT would be fine. I don't think anyone disagrees with you about that (and if they do, then you are probably right that they are being overly sensitive or just looking for a fake reason to get offended or whatever).

That part was fine, and was not the controversial part.

The controversial part was the second part, which you keep ignoring, where he said "I hope he's not".

Because he followed it up with, "I sure hope not because that's disgusting."(This was deleted for obvious reasons)
Also you're not really comparing the same thing because straight people have not been historically persecuted and shamed the way gay people have.

A gay person asking whether a person is straight doesn't carry the same negative implications as it does the other way around. Especially when you lump in the follow up derogatory commentary.

I'm sure you know this deep down and are just trying to be argumentative, but please just stop being an idiot.

Art wasn't a nit he would make some incredible thin value bets. He was one of few people who could confuse Garret.

There's nothing wrong with curiosity in regards to anything. You should ask whatever questions you like, but many brainwashed millennials have been discouraged from making inquiries about people and life. They despise judging...but then they'll be the first to judge you if you disagree with them!
LOL

Millenial here. People don't do this. You're an idiot

this is the part that makes keeping him out of the game appear a little shady. art had a great style to counter garrett. basically always go to the flop with range advantage but also go for very thin value and bluff at correct frequencies. that kind of hyper-TAG style is the correct counter to a very LAG style like garrett plays.
