He is really good. But you gotta remember something... money doesn't mean your competent all the time. He gets some bad play pretty easily.

There’s a lot of players better than Gman theory wise. But its his charisma and table demeanour that makes him goat for live nl cash, fish just wanna play with him, he gets friendly with them and its not socially awkward like when most hs regs try to socialize with fish.

He has a weird lizard man snake guy thing going on when he is contemplating a call or fold. He literally 'slithers' and weaves back and forth in an odd reptilian kind of way trying to make a decision. Very strange.

Garrett is the best NLHE player in America that only plays live casino games. It's a very paltry award and I wouldn't be surprised if 8-10 players in America make more than him online and 5-6 make more than him in private games.

He is good at making himself seem like the end boss, but he's just the end boss of live LA NLHE games which isn't even as big as PLO games are.

Well, he was crushing online pre black-friday, transitioned to live and became king of the hill. Not bad !
I guess it would not take him very long to adapt to the current online games and do very well there if he wanted to.

The way he constantly makes good decisions, the mix of GTO, exploitative lines , live reads , depending of the players he's up against, is truly mesmerizing.

I don't really see how " good" he is " at making himself like the endboss" : I never heard him brag about anything.
He 's just playing, obviously taking it seriously but doesn't take himself too seriously.
The banter, the rivalries with Andy, Gal, Nick etc... the hands that look like street poker ( even though they're not) : that brings back some of the excitement poker was all about .

First post in a year.. nice. BTW I remember you making a post maybe 15 years ago where you were contemplating poker full time vs. law school or something else. You stated you estimated you would make $200k-$500k by playing online , and while the money was great you couldnt imagine yourself playing for more than 2 years because of burnout.
