When Dylan was trying to be real on the table talk about table spots and table sharks, Garrett came in with some fake speeches like "oh I think everybody has strength and weakness, etc" like dude, stfu, Dylan told him right off the bat to stfu in a nice way, Durrr didn't even respond to his bull ****.

Huh? Dylan is kind of out of line there, think most people would go with Garrets answer rather than putting people on the spot.

His only tool, of speech play in order to get a “live read,” looks amateurish when deployed against mega-pros such as Ivey/Dwan.

It’s honestly sad that despite being a star in the context of live-streamed games, Garrett’s legend status is a fraction of that of Dwan, who had a legitimate impact on poker culture and its view in the mainstream. And considering the Garrett thinks of himself highly (ignore his false modesty), it must be an uncomfortable truth to live with.

Some real haters in this thread. Off topic but boy did that Dylan have some weekend, loses 300k in televised high stakes poker, then gets banned from all NBA games for slapping a NBA players hand, then to top it off he makes it onto Undisputed where Shannon Sharpe has his back.

Of course this is the default response when people don’t like what they hear. This is the modern day internet. If I said Tom Dwan aged like ****. That can be construed as hating. If I had Vegas is overrated and overpriced, that can be considered hating. Anything critical today is hating. I guess some people can’t be all loving as others.

The ironic thing is that Garrett always responds like a politician so that he doesn't offend anyone especially his customers.

-I’m not that great at poker. I know that and so do the best players.
-I’m not that nice. I’m just a guy trying my best and blowing it plenty.
-All I was saying to Dylan was that in poker and life people aren’t just good or bad. When I play poker, I try to find what my opponent is doing poorly whether they are Reza or Tom. Although not always the case in my past, I try my very best to always be genuine in all my interactions at the poker table. Given my ability to play in any streamed game, it’s a luxury I have that few others do in poker and I’m grateful for it.

Carry on and I am always appreciative of the feedback either way.

I thought Ivey didn't act that differently than any other time he has played.

He was just extra disinterested in the game since he had no phone and players like Dylan were super annoying to have to deal with. Also it was likely he had much bigger action on the sports games going on.

I can't blame him, he likely didn't want to be there and was paid and begged to make an appearance.
