Pretty obvious but still a good point to be made. The same person who behaves extremely honorably when they have a br of 6 figs might very well resort to desperate and slimy measures when they are busto or 6 figs in debt. It's more often you hear of broke people scamming then players who are doing fine, that's for sure. And so as it becomes tougher to make a living playing poker, it is natural that more scams are happening in the 2p2 community. The fact that people are getting more aware of how to detect them and being vigilant about them and 2p2ers being more willing to expose scammers probably also plays a role in the rash of scams and shadiness coming to light lately.

Without legislation scammers have nothing to lose.

I think a lot of players are also a bit too trusting with people they dont know very well and make easy targets for scammers as well. Economy definitely affected things I'm sure as most ppl see it as a last chance to get rich type of deal before they move on to something else

everyone is forced to do everything they do. Don't be so naive.
