'To accompany Poker Central’s 2018 WSOP live stream coverage on PokerGO, there will be supplemental streaming of additional WSOP events via a free-to-view partner. Details on this coverage will be announced later this week'

I wonder what that means?

Sounds like they're going to do cheap streams (just like in years past) of non-featured events, instead of blacking them out.

Given their history, I didn't expect PokerGo to actually do this. If they end up covering all (or most) events, then I will shut up as promised!

From the "wish list" I emailed to PokerGo:

Just guessing, but the supplementary free coverage will probably be other final tables as they come up (e.g. some big name makes the FT for a smaller event), and/or play-down to the final tables on some of the events already scheduled (e.g. big names are among the final 27 of the $50K Players Championship, thus filling in the otherwise empty June 17 and 18 slots).

I'm also hopeful that the June 26-July 2 dead spot between the $10K PLO and the Main can be filled by this partner.

So all in all, I'd this is pretty satisfactory... pretty much everything I could have reasonably asked for.

Maybe time to end the boycott? Schedule looks good, I hope they can get the 10k PLO8 in there as well.

Step in the right decision, at least we have mixed games. I understand we will prolly never get all but 3 event streamed again.

but I hope pokergo next year and beyond will be able to cover 55-60% of the events.

step in the right direction for sure.

Have to look at entirety of everything and not just this

Schedule is way better, great variety actually

Then we also have more stuff during the year. Because of PokerGO we had the 25K mixed tourney a few months ago

Put down the boycott and pop the champagne imo

Can totally remember what it was about the schedule last year that had everybody so tilted - didn't the free strem on wsop.com used to have two final tables every night? And it was free - and then PokerGo bought the rights and started charging $10 a month, and was only showing one final table each night ... and some nights they would take breaks, so it was like less than half the streams for more money? And then people were getting all sour and stuff on the days when nothing was showing, because the only other thing to watch on tv was like Bachelor in Paradise, so people weren't happy lol ... (or was that just me? )

Guess the schedule looks more or less the same as last year, with some days off here and there? Would be lovely to have even more - but the Main Event coverage in real-time that they started doing last year was super fun, so that should be great ... always so exciting to see people have a run of a lifetime, and there always seems to be a nice mix of recs and pros who are able to make it deep every year

YES. me and srsly have said this 10x now and people are glossing over it. thats why i was miffed, we used to get 50 events streamed a year for F R E E. the same people bitching at me saying"its fine" either A) are new people who have no ****ing clue about streams pre pokerGO or B) people who are prolly anti- net neutrality since essential, last year, was a micocosm of it if you think about it.

The announced schedule is better than last year for sure. Their statement about allowing supplemental broadcasts by other streamers is promising too. Let's hope the supplemental streams are extensive so that most events can be covered (even outside the FT hopefully for the better ones).

I enjoy pokergo and subscribe monthly. I'd like to see a bigger discount for yearly subs as I think alot of people keep it all the time but don't watch it even every month. I want to support broadcast poker though and am happy to pay for it.

Twitch is going to stream 30 final tables this summer for free. Even David Tuchman is coming back.

This is a huge win for the fans and for PokerGo. Twitch is a great platform for them to advertise their product to a wider audience. If PokerGo subscriptions increase then I'd expect them to increase PokerGo's content even more in the future.

Ok now that is how it should be done. I have no more qualms with the PokerGo paywall. Premium stuff with better production goes to the premium subscribers, other more random stuff is for free.
