Weinstein was able to operate because no one said anything. Maybe we should be more willing to call out misbehavior and we should be willing to set the bar for what we criticize much lower than rape. If women are disadvantaged in this country (and they are), then it makes sense to be willing to challenge anything that contributes to a culture that oppresses women, especially coming from a public figure.

We can argue about whether or not Matusow was actually offensive, but an empathetic person should recognize how a reasonable person could take offense at that tweet.

In the top 10-20% of countries in the world, like most western democracies? More than likely. Undisputedly the least racist and sexist in the world? No. First of all, you won't find consensus on the issue, and secondly, I've yet to find a study on either racism or sexism that shows USA by itself at the top. That's not to say such studies don't exist, just that there's nothing to support your "scientific fact".

Social anthropology is a valid science. As a person with academic back group in this science i find no dificulty to make the claim that USA is the least racist and the least sexist country humanity has ever seen.
