Game's not over for Austin yet. Steve, who is in a secret alliance with Vanessa, made a case for not putting Austin up as that would weaken her alliance numbers wise. He used a similar example from a past big brother season. Vanessa seems to have given this a lot of thought. Her problem is going back on her word to the opposite side of the house. And Austin has promised the rest of the alliance everything but his first born, if they keep him in long enough to reach the jury. The balancing act begins.

She looks downright unattractive when she doesn't have on makeup.

I'm impressed.

The times I've watched she's been on point. She's doing an excellent job of building alliances and working the crowd.

But she's a big target.

Last season, Derrick, the winner, bought Cody, 2nd place, a car afterwards. This wasn't something that was agreed to beforehand. He just did it because Cody stayed loyal to him and brought him to the final two. Had Cody brought Victoria (who he should have), he would have been the winner of $500,000 instead of $50,000.

WTF Derrick, $500k is not that much money. Dez Bryant bought his offensive line Air Jordans. Tony Romo bought his offensive line Louis Vuitton handbags and it makes national news. Little poor family guy Derrick buys young douchebag who he will never play with again a frickin car. C'mon man!! Buy him a beer or something, not a damn car!

BBAD- Opens with Jason sobbing wondering who he's pissed off. So Austin is safe.

It was totally smart for Vanessa to vote out Jeff and she never had any loyalty to him. Agreed. But I'm not sure you can claim to be this super loyal straight shooter when you manufactured a huge fake drama scene to justify a nomination and are playing the game really hard.

She did another smart backdoor this week against someone who was never taking her deep into the game.

Derrick and Cody remained good friends after it was over and they see each other frequently.

If Cody is his side piece then buying him a car makes perfect sense. Otherwise, lol no!

I haven't followed since the last episode but it really makes sense for Vanessa to keep Austin.....but he's still playing an awful game.

Reading between the lines while watching Big Brother After Dark, Jason was the replacement nominee. In other words, whoever won the POV used it on Clay. So Jason and Becky are the nominees for eviction this week. Just an educated guess.

Putting up Austin would have been the worst move she could have made. In Big Brother, you never put up one of your "numbers" if you can avoid it. She would be sending home someone who would never put her on the block and someone who would never vote her out. In essence, she would be using her HOH to get rid of someone that the other side wanted out.

Huh? When the entire house knew Audrey was a pathological liar, Vanessa was convinced everyone else was throwing her under the bus and protected Audrey, shared secrets with her, etc. When Audrey finally started telling the truth, Van thought she was lying.

She got fooled by Jackie(!) in a fake deal, she misread Meg's early meltdown as being phony, was 100% sure Steve didn't vote to keep Jeff (thought it was Becky lol), was 99% sure Audrey was America's Player, was convinced Steve won the last laugh because his feet were twitching in the phone booth (then thought Jeff won it and chose to block his own vote?!?), completely believed Clay was a twin for a LONG time. Etc.

She has a strategic mind and is definitely playing the game hard, but her reads? Not so great imo. Agree with your Johnny Mac take, though!

It may seem like shelli and clay are doing well as a couple in this game but things are going to change very soon.

It usually happens right around week 5-8 where people start getting sick of the couple ****.
They are literally attached at the hip and subconsciously it is inevitable for the other houseguest to get jealous and it will start coming out in hatred.

Just put yourself in the situation of a housegest with no romance in the house.
after about 6 weeks you would cringe and the sight of two lovey-dovey cuddling lovebirds.

This will lead shelli to the mentality that "they are just jealous" then it will be on. Jealousy makes people act irrational and its coming.

I have seen every season, its inevitable.

Vanessa is getting a good TV edit. If you watch the feeds you can see she is a nervous wreck half the time and does not mix well socially. Also she jumps to wrong conclusions about things that she "knows for a fact", as was pointed out above.

The one thing she does have going for her is that she's smart, but she's way overthinking and overplaying the game instead of making obvious moves to take out threats. She had to be talked out of putting Austin up by her Sixth Sense allies and only put Jason up reluctantly after days of panicky discussion and when she could find a "reason" to justify it.

Don't use "literally" like that please

Agree, but they've been doing a decent job of not being annoying so far imo. And McCrae/Amanda went deep as a super attached and annoying couple. So did Rachel/Brendan, and Rachel ended up shipping it.

But yes it's usually dangerous and dumb.

Well, she's got the blood on her hands that she didn't want and half the house upset with her. If one of them gets HOH tomorrow, good possibility she's getting put up for eviction.

This could all blow over pretty quickly if she makes it out of this next week. Keep in mind there are still two HoHs, 4 players being put up, and plenty of opportunities to manipulate things in their favor. The 6th Sense has the best competitors and it's highly likely that they will win one or both HOHs next week. Also, they are the only ones that know how to play this game and can always go to their tried and true Johnny Mac to throw a competition for them.

Also, will the others ever actually catch on to the fact that there is a power alliance in this house? These are some really bad players.

Aaaaaaand she blew it...
Austin was the right play, too soon for Jason.
She had everyone on board but Liz/Julia essentially.
Should have followed through with the plan IMO. I don't even think they will get the votes to kick out Jason. I feel like he can convince James, Johnny Mac, Jackie, Meg, and Steve to vote for him. Then all of them gunning for her next week.
Clay, Shelli, Austin, Liz vote to evict Jason. (Am I missing anyone?)
Going to be an interesting episode for sure.
At the same time if she does make it to the end, jury usually sides with people that made the most moves even if they did backdoor the jury members.

She probably blew it by targeting Austin in the first place. Sure, he couldn't be trusted but it seems that she should have waited to target him regardless. Her making a deal with the "other side" did seem to be done out of desperation

BTW, it appears that Vanessa is working with Steve so maybe he will vote out Jason...although he seemed really vindictive towards Becky on last nights episode during the challenge.
