I made a bet with a buddy and he actually gave me 4-1 odds that she would recognize her. My logic was that females generally don't follow poker, even as a dealer and anyone that doesn't follow poker would have no sweet clue who she was. My only regret was that I didn't bet more. And I think that the fact the NO ONE in the house recognizes her, just goes to show you how secluded the poker community is from everyone else in society.

I put up $20, you put up $160 and winner gets the $180?

Won HOH again. It will be another boring week if she can manipulate Jackie. She has been floating with no alliances, so wouldn't be surprised if she does.

To be fair, there are many many well known or famous people that people regularly do not recognise.

I remember watching an episode of blind date filmed just after the sydney olympics featuring Maurice Greene. The chick he went on the date with had no clue who he was, and couldn't care less either TBH.

Vanessa is playing super solid and is basically a lock for top 5 and a really strong likelihood of top 3.

Precisely why she is a top candidate to be back-doored, as no one would want to take her to top 3.

Yea it's gonna be tuff when the twins are both in the house. They'll be a pair and I'm sure Austin will be more aligned with them vs Vanessa, and then the other 2 in their alliance are already probably engaged. Plus she has already blown up on Austin. She'll need to make another alliance. Luckily for her, everyone else seems to be floating. The only other ones that are probably in an alliance are Meg/Jason.

IMO, her play this week should be to keep herself and the sixthsense safe while throwing the BOB to Jackie somehow.
Time to call in Johnny Mac!
She will be an even bigger target if she maintains HOH throughout the week, so throw the BOB and build some trust with Jackie that may be of some use later on in the game.

Vanessa is a very dangerous competitor and it seems the other houseguests know this. However, they will most likely target couples before they target a single competitor. So, she should be safe for quite sometime and the rest of the house is in such shambles that I don't even think losing a 6th sense member would be that big of a deal for her game...it could potentially even help her down the road.

If you want a spoiler for this week that I heard on a podcast (yes, I'm a dork and listen to a podcast about BB)...

Spoiler:
Austin is gone unless he wins POV. He told Jason everything about the twins including Julia's name and Jason proceeded to tell vanessa. Vanessa was obviously upset. There will be 4 pawns up for nomination with the BOB thrown to Jacki and the main goal is to back door Austin

I know they wouldnt talk about it on the show, but I wonder if Vanessa would propose a chop if and when she gets top 3.

They'd be pretty stupid to trust each other in that situation as BB/CBS obviously wouldn't help facilitate it in any way, and they'd probably be violating their contract by doing it.

Guessing she would convey that proposal through mental telepathy.

This is absolutely forbidden on the show.

Fortunately, after this week, she won't have to worry about Austin as he'll be gone unless he wins POV.

How could they forbid it?

Similar to the WSOP claiming that they don't allow chops, but people do it anyways.

I don't know if they forbid it or not but big brother has a set of rules that contestants must follow during their time in the house. For instance they can't talk about the show's production. Since the contestants are being recorded 24/7 it is very easy for them to enforce the rules.

Also, this isn't poker. It's big brother. The audience isn't watching to see them chop. And I seriously doubt the houseguests would even entertain that idea. They are big brother fans themselves.

They sign something saying this can't come into play.

From what I know this is true. Also in survivor as well. But I know that there have been house guests in the past that have offered $ bribes to make game moves to benefit him. He also said he loves writing checks that will never have the chance to be cashed.

I'm not watching actual episodes. Just random clips posted to YouTube. So I've probably missed some key moments and I also don't know what Vanessa is saying in confessionals. That being said, one weird thing I am finding about Vanessa's game is her insistence that she plays this super loyal game where her word is everything. She manufactured an argument with Jeff to make it look like she was "justified" in backdooring him. Austin is aware of the manufacturing. I'm not sure if anyone else is. Now Vanessa is talking about how Austin did a bunch of shady stuff this week, which makes her "justified" in backdooring him. That being said, Vanessa might put up Jackie instead of Austin (which would be smart). But she's acting like she's in an alliance with Jackie as well. It seems like Vanessa is playing both sides of the house as hard as anyone (Shelli and Clay are up there too). I don't know if she perceives herself to actually be a super loyal person, or if she is pretending to see herself that way.

To sum it up, Austin currently has AK on K37 flop and Vanessa has 33. Haha but in all seriousness Vanessa has such good reads on people she's definitely making top 5 if not better with Clay and Shelly or one of the two and some floater like Jackie (sexy) or maybe Johnny Mac (he's awesome).

Watching BBAD and the Dark Haired chick checks herself out in the mirror every 30 seconds.

Vanessa keeps doing well in the challenges and that makes it appear she is strong player, which I think will end up making her a target.

That one kid didn't even try, on purpose, to win a challenge and I think it will also hurt him.

That chick checking herself out is beyond annoying.

Vanessa had no loyalty to Jeff. Jeff was the enemy. You are correct that Vanessa is not being loyal to Austin but I'm sure she fully intended to be loyal to him but didn't anticipate him being a complete idiot nor did she anticipate him being so shady. When an alliance member goes rogue and gives away alliance secrets it weakens an alliance. When an alliance member straight up lies to other members of the alliance on multiple occasions that is no alliance at all. Austin dug his own grave and has to go soon.

Also, Austin forced them to start playing both sides of the house, IMO.

BTW, this season had two of the worst game players in the history of the game: Audrey and Austin (unless something changes). These two both came to play the game and both played their asses off and both dug their own graves when they could have easily coasted thanks to the 6th sense power alliance.
