She manufactured an argument with Jeff to make it look like she was "justified" in backdooring him. Austin is aware of the manufacturing. I'm not sure if anyone else is. Now Vanessa is talking about how Austin did a bunch of shady stuff this week, which makes her "justified" in backdooring him. That being said, Vanessa might put up Jackie instead of Austin (which would be smart). But she's acting like she's in an alliance with Jackie as well. It seems like Vanessa is playing both sides of the house as hard as anyone (Shelli and Clay are up there too). I don't know if she perceives herself to actually be a super loyal person, or if she is pretending to see herself that way.
Vanessa had no loyalty to Jeff. Jeff was the enemy. You are correct that Vanessa is not being loyal to Austin but I'm sure she fully intended to be loyal to him but didn't anticipate him being a complete idiot nor did she anticipate him being so shady. When an alliance member goes rogue and gives away alliance secrets it weakens an alliance. When an alliance member straight up lies to other members of the alliance on multiple occasions that is no alliance at all. Austin dug his own grave and has to go soon.
Also, Austin forced them to start playing both sides of the house, IMO.
BTW, this season had two of the worst game players in the history of the game: Audrey and Austin (unless something changes). These two both came to play the game and both played their asses off and both dug their own graves when they could have easily coasted thanks to the 6th sense power alliance.
