only know that two house guests requested and all other house guests agree to let her and a poker dealer sit out the first competition. We need a baller poker player on that show throwing $100 bills to the other contestants to let them have a walk. This show has two gamblers not willing to gamble.

This show's on for 16 weeks, and they only vote out a person a week, so sometimes there's not too much to update. Vanessa got a special pass for sitting out of that competition last Thursday, so that maybe helped keep her out of a lot of the drama that's been going on? Which has given her time to better get to know people, and try to build some relationships ... and that seems to be coming along ...


The show's on again tonight, and tomorrow - tomorrow there might be more happening, because that's the day someone gets evicted and they start the week fresh ...

I had high hopes for Vanessa on Big Brother this season but realize now that she's not cut out for a show like this. While she might be a good strategist, she's almost socially inept with these people. She's having a hard time bonding with the girly girls and really can't hang out with the guys which leaves her only involved in one on one conversations. When she's in a group, it's almost like she's not there which is sad because I wanted to root for her. It's obvious she's really smart and is great at seeing what's going on but that's not enough on Big Brother. Most winners, or those who have gone deep, have had great social games. This is where she will fail and fall by the wayside. I've watched every season of Big Brother since its inception so I'm not new to this party and I know what it takes to be successful on this show. I hope I'm proven wrong with Vanessa but I don't think so.

whatever happened to just going on big brother for a piss up and trying to get your end away? **** is all this strategy talk? do the public not vote people out on the American one?

The public have no say in who goes home on Big Brother. It's up to the people living in the house to decide who goes and who stays. Sometimes they put a vote out to the viewers regarding some kind of twist that could affect the eviction but other than that, it's all in the hands of the houseguests.

Maybe it's the lighting or lack of professional makeup, or lack of sleep, or something, but

It's definitely lack of sleep and also, since she's just hanging out, she's just wearing hang out clothes. I don't understand the wearing of a winter wool hat during the summer and indoors as well yet one of the other housesguests, Audrey, is also wearing a wool hat a lot. Must be the new fashion trend in the Big Brother house.

As a series long watcher of this, she will struggle mightily and be out fairly quickly. I have seen a pattern of many of the women coming in and "playing" the game too fast and too hard. It always backfires

I have said in the previous posts that the crew in there this summer just ain't cutting it. It appears all of them are socially awkward.

Vanessa is already in the shadows so I am not sure what Game theory she is working on but she is busting on the first level in this game. She seems indifferent and really doesn't seem like she really wants to be there. It's like she has tapped out and wants to go like leading to next weeks eviction and hoping to go home.

I am about tapped out Andorra meh this year. So far is say worse big brother yet.

Don't forget how much they edit the show. There used to be a site where you could watch BB 24/7 and it was totally different then what was being show as a show.

I believe they have a script and follow it before any houseguest is ever chosen.

reading the text transcripts of their conversations hurts my brain. it's totally inane. there should be a reality show with a bunch of us aspie 2p2ers

The one thing going for her is that she really has a handle on what's going on. If she could be more social, she could go far. I'd like to see her with Austin/Liz/Steve/John

The public voted players out in Season 1 and it was a disaster. They immediately voted out the racist black man and the wild stripper which made for a boring season and ratings were terrible so they switched it up for season 2. I have watched quite a bit of the UK version..in particular I watch Celebrity Big Brother. The American version is far more strategic. IMO, it is far superior to the UK version, albeit I'm sure some people prefer the UK version. The U.S. Version evolves every season and is a much different show than what you are used to.

IMO the UK version has a much superior structure as the contestants are not allowed to talk about alliances and discuss strategy directly, it has to be a more subtle "level"
IE. you know that I know that you know that we are going to vote for X house mate.
And the public voting for the house mates in the UK version is a lot more lucrative, as they charge a flat rate per phone call, you also call in to "save a housemate" which means a lot more people participate.

On a more related note I think Vanessa is doing very well, she is staying in the background, The head of household did not even know her name on day 2. It is also good she is not showing her alpha female qualities because she has made no enemies. I would take the over on her lasting another 2 weeks.
