Isn't it a little early in the going to be breaking down? Didn't it just start?
That she's a basket case could sort of be predicted by how uncomfortable she appears to be in her own skin in all the poker interviews I've seen with her. False bravado, self defensiveness and braggart tendencies seem to indicate a maladjusted egotist.
These shows tend to cast people that will cause drama, conflict with each other etc... or else they would be boring and not get great ratings. I would not be surprised at all if they cast someone who was a rec poker player with a reasonable good chance of recognizing her. I think there is also a reasonable possibility that maybe another cast member might have been told ahead of time. Not sure of the rules of this show or if contestants are fed anything at all up front. The fact that it was mentioned multiple times during her contestant interview about other people finding this out makes it seem likely it will at some point come up on the show. I assume these video interviews are quite long and then edited down after the entire thing is filmed highlighting important items, almost a selective foreshadowing.
Ummm no. Anytime there is someone "famous" on a reality show like this there is a major concern whether or not they will be recognized or not because very few people want to give a rich famous person a large sum of money (which they receive if they win the show).
I'm hoping Vanessa can utilize her insecurities/depression/breakdown to secure an all-nerd alliance but I seriously don't think she has the people skills to get it done. Seems like a little bit of crying could go along way in gaining loyalty from the nerdy guys.
She's just tripping out because she suddenly realized she no longer has access to the internet / her car /dj booth (laptop)
"I'm an expert in game theory so I know sitting out is best - It's all about edges"
That's why you did not even think of saying "in lieu of not being nominated" and left it to someone else to suggest. You got the edge girl.
Vanessa is falling way back in the pack socially it seems in the BB house. Two alliances formed and guess who isn't a part of it? hmmmm
Spoiler:
5:00 PM BBT – After some alliance talk, they go get Jeff and decide that the alliance of Audrey, Da’Vonne, James, Jason, Meg, Jeff and Jackie will be called the High Rollers.
Da'Vonne deals in LA. SO maybe the Commerce? I would think that she would know who she is. We just haven't seen it on the show.
In her intro video she called herself a "freelance" poker dealer. Whatever that means.

Speaking as a former dealer and terrible poker player, I'm pretty sure that dealers are known for being lousy at poker. Also how does she not recognize Vanessa Rousso.
Transcript of a few players talking about Vanessa:
Spoiler:
Da'Vonne: I'm in the bathroom talking to Vanessa. Well, Vanessa was talking to me, my ears were over here.
Jason: Vanessa talked about so many weird things. Like what is she doing here? I swear, that bitch is America's Player.
Da'Vonne: I baited Vanessa. I told her, I was like, "Vanessa I'm feeling isolated. I feel like don't nobody like me." She was like, "I felt like that yesterday!" And she just started talking. But I know if I get her talking I can listen to them having a real conversation.
Jason: I should've brought hearing aids for this house.
Da'Vonne: Vanessa, I'm sorry, I don't want to use you like that because you legit are a good person.
Jason: She is, but I still don't trust things about her.
Watched for 1st time to see Vanessa. Show was pretty boring. Vanessa looked awkward, and didn't seem like she even wanted to be there.
She said in a intro that "she used used to be married to a man, now is with a women. Love it love." or something like that, then sat down. She left out the part about leaving the man after he got cancer.
then she volunteers to sit out the first competition. so gay.
awesome game theory strategy to get people to not worry about her.... could even see her laughing in that 'breakdown'
I hope Phil offers the poker dealer and player a chance to be on the next amazing race
I frequent a video game forum. They have a BB thread and from the last few pages I have read, those who talk about Vanessa actually like her chances. They think she can perfectly read people and situations.
Is it male poker players in particular that have a negative attitude towards women?
There seems to be something about female + success that really seems to bring out the personal insults in 2+2 posts
Its just your standard angry ugly men in their rooms being unpleasant on the internet. Whatever guys, if it makes you feel better about being completely unwanted go nuts. But does it make you feel better?
The show also makes vito and challenges geared to the peoples strengths they want to keep for rating purposes.
This show is not listed in the game show category. It's listed as entertainment, like professional wresting. So yeah, they can make up twists as they go pretty much.
So Big Brother has cameras capturing the action 24/7, and then they air a show three times a week with highlights. Apparently the highlight shows wind up missing a lot - but hopefully they show enough to give a general sense of how things are going? Here's the parts with Vanessa from last Thursday - they started off with 16 people, so she was only shown for a couple of minutes:
Intro (each person had to describe why they think they have a shot at winning the $500k)
Short Clip About Her Relationship Status
Bit With Her and the Rest of the House
There's websites that post highlights of the 24/7 cameras, for anyone that wants to see what else is going on (eg. http://www.onlinebigbrother.com/cate...ig-brother-17/). Was scrolling through one, but they're really long - it was sounding like they want to get rid of the California surfer/skateboarder guy first, not sure why? Also, people seem to find the poker dealer untrustworthy?
Im going to assume her sitting out was some nice GTO lol. Sorta like how on the final spin in Wheel of Fortune you are better off not guessing a letter at all if you are first.
