Going to assume you never been scammed in your life, but people don't really tend to change their mind 1 year later and pay up. This is no different, this is extremely unlikely to lead anywhere. When I google her name this is the first page that shows up, so most people will realise she is a scammer and have already at this point. Clearly didn't prevent her from getting some kind of backing and invite to whatever live game it was someone posted recently. People will also continue to do so i.e Eli Elezra, Tom Dwan or Chino Reem

OP is better off just moving on and taking it as a loss and learn from his mistake.

Life has moved on and this isn't a big deal. It's certainly not life changing money. I take a couple of minutes a week out of my life to post in this thread.

However, someone stole $17,000 from me and a friend. I'm a Wynn reg right now, and if she's playing at the Venetian just next door, you can bet I'll take an hour out of my life to go confront her, and at the very least, give her an embarrassing situation. I'll quite enjoy doing that, and will any chance I get.

People cry why people didn't out scammers and allowed them to scam the poker world so long. People then cry that someone is posting about a scammer and informing the community. Kinda weird.

Seems like you have the right mindset about it and thanks for informing the community. Lot of clubs on PPP and poker bros I heard people had similar issues but people don't out them and hoped to get paid eventually. Pretty sure my agent got stiffed multiple times but always made me whole. Wish the industry had better communication about which clubs/unions had issues with cheating/welching.

If this thread stops just one more person from being scammed by her then it has served an almighty purpose. And as the OP says, for the sake of a few minutes a week to bump it, it's not really that hard for him to do so, and is a far far better move than your suggestion of us all shrugging our shoulders, chuckling heartily and saying "oh well, scammers gon' scam."

All this talk about not a legal debt and going after op for harassment/tax evasion is wild. People should understand that not everyone in the gambling community is going to take these kind of threats or having their money stolen well and that if your life strategy is scamming people from that community and then attempting to use government violence to further hurt them for attempting to collect, things are unlikely to work out well for you in the long run.

Its like giving a drug dealer money to buy illegal drugs then calling them a scammer because they didn't give you illegal drugs.

Except you did get the illegal drugs, you just didn't get your portion of the proceeds from that person selling the illegal drugs.

Its not noble. It makes the poker industry look clownshoes and shady. Which it is when the best option to make money playing the game is through grey-to-black back alley apps.

If somebody's out there in the poker world stealing people's money that were trusted to do otherwise, word needs to be out. She's out there getting staked and will probably be asking players to borrow money etc. Nobody gives a **** about being noble, but if you want to scam people and steal their money, be prepared for everyone to know about it and your reputation to pay the price. Take your silly analogies elsewhere. You can use them to defend pretty much any scammer in any part of the poker world.
