If this thread stops just one more person from being scammed by her then it has served an almighty purpose. And as the OP says, for the sake of a few minutes a week to bump it, it's not really that hard for him to do so, and is a far far better move than your suggestion of us all shrugging our shoulders, chuckling heartily and saying "oh well, scammers gon' scam."
