Thanks. Many immature idiots here. Yes I made a mistake trusting someone who wasn't a real known friend. It's a business mistake and I'm up over 300k on the poker apps so it's just an annoying drop in the bucket for me. Having said that, I'm being screwed over and at the very least feel like it should be known. I was even ok with being patient, if I had been consistently receiving a few hundred every month with solid communication I would've been chill. But poor communication and a few hundred every 4 months just didn't sit well.

Whether Vanessa had poor intentions originally I don't know. I think not. I wanted to be patient and give her a chance. But the situation currently is being handled poorly. Any payments will be updated here and this thread will hopefully be one day deleted.

I appreciate the people who understand. Many players who have been around a long time have experienced drops in the bucket like this. Cake Poker disappeared with 5k of my money too back in 2013. One agent gave me a bunch of sob stories about how it would take him a while to pay me 30k but then his partner was confused and just paid me cash immediately. These apps are definitely a perfect set up for scamming. We all need to watch out and anyone not paying up quickly needs to be known about.

Of course it's not criminal. But if someone in poker does this, everybody in poker should know. It's about whether she will have a solid reputation or a tarnished one.

Even if Carnivore did choose her as his agent because he thought she was hot, so what? That has no bearing on this situation.

Either she ripped him off, or she didn't. And it looks like she did, especially from her complete silence on the matter for the past 2.5 months.

Some people just have no honor so when they are called out instead of doing the right thing and paying back their debt.

They instead will gaslight the situation and play the victim. They will claim since they were called out and mistreated that they no longer owe the debt. They might even attempt to claim they are owed for “harassment”.

This. Some of the strong takes ITT almost seem like some sort of politically induced stances, while handily dismissing the old school code that we always had in the community poker of keeping the importance of our word and outing the scammers and cheaters.
