I think I'm going to jump into this $30 on Stars Ontario. Should be a fun after dinner grind.

I guarantee these inconsiderate people ride around in wheelchairs just for the fun of it.

What they are really saying is that this buy in is just routine to me and I want to make it clear to you the reader or the viewer, that it is just pocket change to me. So it's a way of them showing off and elevating their own ego.
Grunching. Ironic you would call anyone pretentious lol wow.

It’s harmless slang.

It just makes you sound more casual, OP. There’s nothing to psychoanalyze about it.

Lol, you act like poker players are super well spoken. Most of their lingo/expressions they pick up from poker-twitter/podcasts/videos.

Particularly Americans seems like they created a brand new language from listening to Joe Ingram..

How do you feel about "I'm going to fire up the Big $2.20"?

I would be very unhappy if your usual buy in was 10c, as I think you would just be showing off, and that ain't right.

The use of "Fire up" or "Firing up" in the online MTT world is nearly as bad when misused, as "Jump(ing) in" or "Hop(ping) in" are in the live arena.

Please be very careful.

The worst offender must be the "flick in", which demonstrates the utmost audacity.

I'm just gonna flick in to the Hot $22
