UK Poker Vlogger allegedly Scammed Private Club Owners, Fled to USA UK Poker Vlogger allegedly Scammed Private Club Owners, Fled to USA

Someone forwarded these to me today from a private group. It seems that Sam Clark, a mildly well-known poker player and vlogger from Newcastle, UK, has been on a tear for a couple years, running up credit at private clubs, then ghosting them after claiming to need time to come up with funds.

At present, these are only allegations, however.
Spoiler:

Spoiler:

It is true (and weird) that Sam stripped and has now deleted his YouTube channel, but I think more is yet to come on this story.

Sam was in the UK at least until May 2023, as he played on a 10/25/50 stream.

Has anyone got any relevant gossip?

Possibly, but it's not my feedback or dispute. Figured that quantifies this as "gossip"

His look is very unpleasant... I wouldn't borrow anything to such person.

Why did you decide to borrow him money?

I've never understood this poker mentality where people are lending money without any back up, just "on a good word".

I'm really trying to get that... Can somebody explain? Is that some sort of reciprocity? Or is it with interest?

People loan money to gambling degens because they are too stupid to consider the consequences of not getting paid back. Then they come onto sites like this and cry about it non-stop to try and gain sympathy.

Or they don't come onto sites like this to cry about it, and rather someone else comes to sites like this and warn about it to try and prevent it from happening to others. This appears to be of the latter variety.

Without trying to derail any further, this is accurate.

Sam has gone public with his version of the story via Twitter, alleging that Charlie Carrel has been instructed to make defamatory tweets regarding the situation.

If it's true that he's just gotten in way over his head then that really sucks for the guy and hopefully he can make whole. If it's more lies, then I guess we just see how it plays out.
