This site might help if you need to trace back information UB have since wiped from their Web site. It allows you to search for how web pages were at a certain date.

I still have some money on there as i was always worried about them pulling the "you have not completed all your bonus scam" when i tried to withdraw it all at once. This thread sounds like the final straw i think i will withdraw to the last $300 or so then try that as a second withdrawl, if they keep it well at least i limited the damage.

Anyone else had problems clearing out their UB account recently with a bonus still active?

level imo. there's a post almost precisely like this by a new poster on *****fives. clearly nionio's puppet masters has been registering on forums as damage control.

Good luck with that...me thinks a shill is amongst us.

Can't wait to play live with PH and berate the every loving mother fing crap out of him for whoring that miserable site - and asking him what they pay him as this is the sum to buy out his integrity and reputation.

if my bankroll bumped up buy a huge amount i would prob be playing higher than .5/1..
just my thought..
then u hit it again.. nice!!

First off ***I'M NOT SAYING ULTIMATEBET OR AP IS INNOCENT*** but the odds of someone winning the BBJ are the same as anyone else winning it once they have already won it once... Secondly, the likleyhoood of someone winning twice goes up greatly as more players win... Plus UB player base is real small so, if this person is a regular, I think it would be really likely that eventually they will hit it twice... I'M NOT SAYING THAT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED but just that to look at the odds of someone winning twice while ignoring the fact that they have already won once is mathmatically incorrect... you're just as likely to win a lotto the second time as the first if all conditions are the same....

There is a game where you go around the room and ask people their birthday until you hit two people with the same birthday... as you ask people their date you acquire more birthdays, and in a short time it is very likely that you'll hit someone with the same date as someone you've already asked...

Anyhow, I'm not mathmatican so someone else could probably explain this way better then me...

Then again this UB / AP ... so the rules there should clearly be buyer beware...
05-08-2008 , 11:32 PM
Ugh, someone who plays at these sites please explain to me why you stay at them... I used to play at Absolute but I'm never going back. With so many options in online poker what is the appeal of these places? If it's not Potripper, it's nionio; now this?

Here is a post about Annie being the announcer and possibly giving instructions for her boyfriend over the webcast. Best part:

"Many people thought Annie was coaching through the webcast. While she gave general commentary of all the players, a few people pointed out that she gave somewhat in-depth instructions of the general strategy for playing a big stack when it was about 5 or 6 handed and hhumbert was the big stack. She went into detail saying "humbert should be sitting back, not taking any unnecessary risks and making sure he has a lot of chips when it gets 3 handed", etc. She gave commentary on all the game, but at no point anything that specific, nor did she discuss how small stacks or medium stacks should be playing at that point.

On one very big hand, a flop came ace high, one player bet out big, the second one went all-in and hhumbert went into the tank, thinking for a long time. Annie gave some of the most specific info she had given all game saying "If I was humbert, I would want at least AK to call here", at which point he came out of the tank and called the bet. (While the result of the hand is irrelevant, the all-in guy had bottom 2 pair, and when hhumbert caught an ace on the river to eliminate him, Annie said "serves him right!". I swear none of this is made up)."

Hi. Long post warning! My chat with "UB VIP" on 05 09 2008 regarding double winner of BBJ and past SUs.

*SPOILER ALERT!!!!

I WITHDREW ALL OF MY FUNDS AFTER THIS DISCUSSION!!!*

Welcome! An online representative will be with you shortly. You are number 1 in the queue. Your wait time will be approximately 0 minute(s) and 4 seconds. Thank you for waiting.
You are now chatting with 'VIP Host'
VIP Host: Welcome to our VIP Department, my name is Umma, how may I assist you?
jasrys: Hi. Can you please tell me or refer me to a list of the winners of the BadBeatJackpot?
VIP Host: You me a list of all players that have won the bad beat jackpot?
jasrys: Yes, exactly.
VIP Host: We do not keep records of that, the information is encrypted in our servers.
VIP Host: and we would not be able to retrieve it in a timely manner.
jasrys: They are announced on the main page when I sign in when it is hit. There is no record of how much was won?
jasrys: I want to see the biggest win, etc...
VIP Host: We keep records of the last few bad beat jack pots hit,
VIP Host: and you have access to this information in the game application.
jasrys: Can you help me find it?
jasrys: I see a few winners, but can I view a full list
VIP Host: No Sir, I am sorry but the information is not available for us.
VIP Host: It could only be retrieved under special cases.
VIP Host: What is the reason you need this information.
jasrys: I want to see how big the jackpot can get
jasrys: and what the average jackpot is
jasrys: to see if its worth playing
VIP Host: The thing is that once we file this information, we won't be able to retrieve it unless it is authorized for an investigation.
jasrys: But, it was announced on your front page every time it is hit!?
VIP Host: I can tell you it is worth playing it, we have players that started with a very low balance and their balance reaches thousands in just a bad beat.
VIP Host: Yes, but this promotion has over a year, so we only have the last 5 hits.
jasrys: can you please put a request in for me to be emailed with the history
jasrys: surely its not that much of a bother for your "VIP" customer...
VIP Host: Sir, it is not possible.
VIP Host: I am sorry but we do not even have access to those records, I am telling you because I do not want you to have false expectations.
VIP Host: I can place the request, but it won't be made.
VIP Host: My request will be rejected.
jasrys: You don't have access to those records? Isn't this your big promotion? Shouldn't you keep records of these things?
VIP Host: yes, but my department does not have access to the records.'
jasrys: I'm sure that there is a record of every single hand ever played on UB
jasrys: can you refer me to the department that does have access?
VIP Host: It is only accessed by our programming department and this information is not public.
VIP Host: We have a record of every hand played, but keep in mind that unless you have participated on a hand, we will not provide you other's player's hand histories.
jasrys: while thats fair, i dont believe that withholding the BBJ information is fair
jasrys: can you refer me to the programming department so i can make a request there?
VIP Host: We do not hold this information, it used to be public and everyone had access, it's just that the information you are asking was encrypted and is no longer available for anyone.
VIP Host: Sir, please understand me, It's not that I don't want to help you. I am not rejecting you my assistance.
VIP Host: The information is not available.
jasrys: so what youre saying is: You (UB) does not know, or will not release information regarding the winners of the bad beat jackpot to your VIP customers upon request, and there is simply nothing that can be done about it?
VIP Host: We cannot release this information.
VIP Host: it is no longer available.
VIP Host: the promotion was already paid, so there is no reason to have it available, some of them have several months.
jasrys: Did "dhc2lovr" win the BBJ twice?
VIP Host: Is there anything else that I may assist you with today?
jasrys: yes
jasrys: Did "dhc2lovr" win the BBJ twice?
VIP Host: We have a player who won it twice, but we do not have the nickname
VIP Host: May I assist you with anything else?
jasrys: Given your casino's and (APs) past reputation concerning proven SuperUser accounts, how can I, in good concience, continue to play here adding that a single user has won the BBJ twice?
VIP Host: Well Sir, with all respect, when you are a poker player you usually have preferred tables to play at, and a Bad beat jack pot player that plays at those tables very frequently has high odds to win it several times, If this player was you I am sure you would see it unfair, not to be paid just because you won it previously, Would you consider this restriction fair, even though it is not stated in our terms and conditions?
VIP Host: We cannot deny this prize to a customer just because he won it in the past, and we cannot block him from winning it once again.
VIP Host: That's just luck.
jasrys: according to my calculations, its 153,850,888,000 to 1 against for having the losing hand twice in a BBJ in that time
jasrys: i may be slightly off, but you get the idea
VIP Host: It happened.
jasrys: sounds like a PR nightmare for a casino struggling with their integrity
VIP Host: PR?
jasrys: Public Relations
VIP Host: Well Sir, I am sorry you feel that way since, but I am sure If you would have been the winner you would not be upset.
jasrys: Seeing that you said, "VIP Host: It could only be retrieved under special cases."
jasrys: I certainly feel that this qualifies
jasrys: I will need to see these histories
VIP Host: I am sorry but it does not qualify, special cases will be determined by the department in charge, we already discussed this. Please understand.
jasrys: or I will be forced to take my WSOP leaderboard #399 business elsewhere
jasrys: apparently not important enough....
jasrys: I understand that you have to protect your information; that's fine. However, I have to be sure that I am playing in a fair playing field. Until you can give me this peace of mind, I will be unable to wager with your company, parent company or associates.
jasrys: Can we make this happen, or should we go our seperate ways?
jasrys: I have played well over 100,000 hands at your site this year, can you please indulge me
VIP Host: I know I cannot place the order for this, and you are a valuable player, however, this does not allow me to break the rules.
VIP Host: I will ask Security Department if we could run an investigation and provide you some other players who have won the bad beat in the past, however since this may not include you, I may not be able to provide you the information for the few ones I could get, at lest last few months.
jasrys: honestly, that sounds like a blowoff
VIP Host: In fact, I am not really understanding you the purpose, It's just that you are requesting us to debit a prize to a player that won it twice because of no reason, and since it is not stated in the terms and conditions for this promotion, and we are not planning to change it yet, I amy not be authorized to provide you the information for your purposes.
jasrys: Well, thank you for your time, Umma. It's, Umma, right? I'm sorry to see this end like this, but, honestly, I just do not trust your site anymore given your past history with superusers and now this apparent BBJ coverup. I'm glad I wasted my time being a VIP here.
VIP Host: I am sorry I was not able to satisfy your concern since I cannot do the request you are asking me.
VIP Host: But it seems even If I could you would not trust the site anymore, which I am sorry for that.
jasrys: where I'm from, a "VIP" gets what he asks for
jasrys: listen, i weathered through the whole UB?AP superuser scandal
VIP Host: Sir the fact, that you are a VIP does not entitled you to have access to encrypted information.
jasrys: i played here
jasrys: after it was proven that cheating was going on
VIP Host: You are a VIP player and you have all benefits Raise offers you.
VIP Host: And I would be more than glad to help you with that.
VIP Host: I will take your information and forward it to our Public Relations Department so they can give you all explanations you need about the superaccount.
jasrys: yeah, "PR"
VIP Host: Yes.
jasrys: so, i would imagine that this guy hitting the BBJ twice is very unfortunate for UB
VIP Host: He probably is unlucky at the time he is lucky.
VIP Host: Is there anything else that I may assist you with today?
jasrys: especially considering that this "promotion" was introduced immediately after your integrity was called into play for th SUs
jasrys: well yes
jasrys: i dont know too much of the superusers
VIP Host: That matter will be discussed with our Public Relations Department, meanwhile is there anything else I can help you out?
jasrys: what happened
jasrys: all i know is hearsay
VIP Host: Unfortunately I do not have the details you are asking, but you will absolutely receive all the information about it,
VIP Host: Again, is there anything else I may be able to assist you with?
jasrys: VIP Host: Unfortunately I do not have the details you are asking, but you will absolutely receive all the information about it,
jasrys: im sorry, i am unclear about that
VIP Host: I do not have the details you need, you will receive them all.
jasrys: when?
jasrys: from whom?
VIP Host: I have been mentioning that I forwarded your information to our Public relations Department, they will be very glad to discuss this matter with you.
VIP Host: I am not sure when, keep in mind I work for the night, and they only work business hours.
jasrys: I do not understand why my VIP host is giving me the runaround
VIP Host: I am sorry but I am not understanding you.
jasrys: Why haven't "Legends" been paid their interest?
VIP Host: what interest?
VIP Host: I am not understanding your query.
jasrys: UB claims a 9% interestrate on account balances for "legends"
jasrys: no "legend" that I know has been paid.
VIP Host: Legends do not qualify for it, only icon players.
jasrys: sorry, no "icon" i know has been paid
jasrys: there are numerous occurences of this throughout the poker players
jasrys: and can you confirm that your company will pay: 9 % on what: (avg accnt balance, peak accnt balance, acctn balance at regular interval) etc?
jasrys: it is a little vague on the website...
VIP Host: This are the requirements:
VIP Host: -Maximum balance eligible is $500,000
VIP Host: -Player Must be Icon-Level
VIP Host: -Average daily balance must be greater than $1,000 (balance snap shot taken once per day)
VIP Host: -You may not have any payouts request, nor transfers (in nor out) during the calendar month to apply for this promotion.
VIP Host: -Player must earn the points needed to maintain his Icon status
VIP Host: -Interest credits to players cash account will be given within the first 7 days after the closing of the previous calendar month.
VIP Host: -Ultimate Bet reserves the right to withdraw this program at any time, without previous notification. (10 days)
VIP Host: -This promotion is based on calendar month, starting from March 1st.
VIP Host: -All issues not covered in the terms and conditions will be decided on by Ultimate Bet, and all resolutions will be final.
jasrys: ok thank you for the requirements
jasrys: have icons been paid?
VIP Host: You are welcome, as long as you accomplish them, you will have the money credited.
jasrys: well, umma.
VIP Host: Yes, they have been paid.
jasrys: given your companys terrible track record
jasrys: and less than convincing disclosement
jasrys: about the recent BBJ
jasrys: I will no longer be wagering at UB or any AP subsiduary
VIP Host: I am sorry about your decision, I wish you the best for the future.
jasrys: I know that I am only your 399 best customer
jasrys: but
jasrys: maybe your company should change many things
jasrys: customer service is one
jasrys: intergrity is foremost
jasrys: NOT BUGGY software is another
VIP Host: I will be very glad to take your statement as a suggestion in order to improve our customer service.
jasrys: Actually, it will be I that take this conversation to the forums of poker players around the world. Good Night.
VIP Host: Have a good day!
VIP Host: I was a pleasure chatting to you and I am sorry you feel that way, but if you ever change your mind, our doors will be opened for you.
jasrys: Thank you; and say hello to nionio for me, won't you?
VIP Host: If you ever need further assistance please feel free to contact us, we are here for you. Thank you for playing at Ultimate Bet.
VIP Host: Have a good time at our tables.
jasrys: cashed out
jasrys: yeah i had a great time
jasrys: running well over $4k dollars below expectation on a proven cheaters site
VIP Host: Just for you to know I will finish this session since it is already over.
VIP Host: I hope you really enjoy your day.
Chat session has been terminated by the site operator.

Well i hope your funds get back to Jasyrs, those are the kind of conversations i like to have when the money is safely back in my bank account and not still being processed for withdrawl by UB who have blocked many request in the past for outstanding bonuses and other excuses.

jasyrs,

According to my calculations, you are clueless. Way to blast support when you have no idea wtf you are talking about. Read the bday portion of AaronL's post.

Anyone have a good estimate for total number of BBJs hit?

Jasrys you're a moron, and let me be the first to say I can't wait for people to quote that stupid long ass post over and over and over again.

Its clear, at least, that the VIP Host have been coached on giving the runaround to anyone who asks about BBJ. That's pretty telling.

Daniel and several others said this wasn't really the case (although it appears they eventually paid the winner, Phil Gordon the 250k). A good place to start digging would be here

Another issue from that time was UB-2, search that on RGP for some good stuff.
