So only recs get invited and they're allowed to bring one pro with them. How do you reckon that's going to turn out?

key is allowed to. also possible to bring none
Looks like a fun idea but probably will end-up like all these, some dirty rich recs vs the super high rollers pro's. nonetheless it will bring some nice content

first day pools are separated
then merge for day2

no sunglasses or hats or hoodies
And final table mandatory suit

Like the no hoodies or hats rule, its ridiculous watching pros sat like bank robbers.

The dress code thing sounds ****in superb!

I didn't read as they're separated, just the tables will be balanced recs/pros.

Dwan and David Peters already registered as invited pros, Rick Solomon, Rob Yong and Bobby Baldwin among others registered as rec players/businessmen.

Should be a good event

Very cool event, especially the dress code rules. Finally someone has the guts to do this.

I'm wondering if Triton is a profitable venture though. Live poker doesn't seem to be a very financially rewarding venture unless you can bring in throngs of players like the WSOP does. Almost every other poker tour is a marketing tool for an online site. I fail to see how a poker tour focused on high rollers with no base to back it up makes money. What am I missing?

Would love to see Jungle and Dwan make a final table wearing tuxedos.

Lmao what a ridiculous invitation system. What category does one seat Talal Shakerchi in?

Like the dress code though:

"Players will not be allowed to cover any part of their body from the neck up. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing scarves, funnel neck sweatshirts, turtle neck jumpers, sunglasses, hats/caps. The only exception will be made for sunglasses to be used at the TV tables due to lighting and hats that do not cover/hide any part of the face at any time. Hoodies are not recommended to follow the rules above. A formal suit will be required to be worn at the Final Table (9 players remaining)."

No, the tables will not be balanced during day 1, they will be segregated.

I was half right, they're segregated first six levels, then there's a redraw where tables are balanced with recs and pros as equally as possible for the rest of day one. Day two just a normal redraw

I like how it'll be the regulars who pass themselves off as recreational players that make these decisions about who can and cannot call themselves a rec and so play in the tourney. Like Paul Phua, who had over $3 million in cashes in the last Triton series in Montenegro.

Does anyone know if we'll be able to rail this? No chance I'm going to miss going to watch some of this if I can.

I feel you but I mean how could it be any different?

Indeed only mighty rich recs and cloned Pio boys will play this.

I have to admit that this will be amazing to watch [ insert a can't
wait gif]

The triton regs don't usually play the normal high rollers. Should be a decent turn out. Can't wait to see Dwan and some of the vegas regs battle it out. Imagine Dwan in a hand vs matt berkey

Cashing events doesn't make you a pro. In addition that 3 million is not that hard to achieve given the stakes they play

What does make you a pro, though? I return to my first reply in this thread: What about Talal Shakerchi? Dude is a hedge fund manager and certainly not a poker pro. But he's an amazing poker player.
