There is no way in hell that How I Made $1,000,000 Playing Poker pubished by B&G and written by Doyle et al sold a million copies.
If I had to guess, and this is just a guess that could be way off, my estimate of the number of copies sold when the book was titled
How I made $1,000,000 Playing Poker would be about 5,000. But I also understand that B&G Publishing spent a lot of money promoting the book so I doubt if any money was made.
However, during the poker boom, when the book was now title Super/System there were huge sales. Perhaps 400,000 would be accurate (but again this is just a guess). However, B&G Publishing now no longer existed and Doyle went with a publisher who paid a small royalty. So while he made money, it was far less, probably by a factor of 4 or 5, than what our top authors made,
