He plays all the big cash games.... seems very friendly with Phua and his crew....makes plays which show he can either afford to drop $1M+ in any one pot, let alone a session. Looks to me he is either very financially comfortable or completely unconcerned with the consequences the so called triads will have in store for him for torching their cash...

Lastly, he seems very happy & relaxed when interviewed or pictured with his GF...If his work/lifestyle is some kind of forced arrangement, then I'm sure he isn't too upset with it...

agreed. the casual way he calls to the floorman/chiprunner/director/w.e saying "Hey, $1million more" right after losing a $1 Million pot sounds like he is back on his own financial feet so to say, if those stories were true. Tom also go to where he is today by being ultra focused on his success and im sure BRM is one of his strong points. so to be able to call for a million more so casually just resonates to me that he is now comfrotable.

With all the speculation and conjecture over the years amd with new evidence coming to light. There are lots of ins, lots of outs to this story. One thing that has been established is Tom Dwan aka Durr was, and and still is the man.

Jungle never implied that. He said they had to put their challenge on stand by because

1. They were supposed to play on FTP
2. FTP closed
3. Dwan had been fckd by ftp which owned him a bunch of money
4. fwiw and if i understood correctly, Dwan couldnt play on FTP as long as those problems weren't solved (he sues FTp - his lawyers told him not to make any public declaration about what was really going on)
5. if i understood correctly also: Dwan was able to introduce Jungle to some very HS south east Asian games. One can assume that this was some kind of compensation as we know that those games are free diamonds for a player of that caliber

Personnaly don't know have any intel that could prove that Tom has become a triad muppet.

However, we can tell just by the way they interact with each other that phua and Dwan are pretty close. So to consider that Phua stakes Durrr wouldnt be a crazy allegation. Of course, not any of us could know if he is deep in the markup hole or not.
