Maybe the reason that he left was because 5 players in the game were openly accusing him of cheating

If the details given are true, it is very suspicious. I mean OK, AA AIPF losing is no big deal, but let's not pretend that quads over quads happens all the time even in Omaha, and if this player was friends with the dealer and left right after the down and seems to be mindlessly shipping it pre against player after player who have premium AA hands and never losing, I too would be more than a little suspicious.

As always, would be nice to have another side to the story.

Maybe I'm naive but isn't it literally impossible to cheat with a shufflemaster being used? If all the dealer does is take the cards out of the machine and cut the deck then there is no possible way for him to set the deck up.

What are the chances that Todd thinks online is rigged? I'm going with 95%+

There is another side to the story.

It's called reality.

Im just throwing this out there.....is it possible an accomplice could be working under the table. He would simply remove the bottom of the shuffler machine and when then the dealer places the deck inside the machine and closes the lid....the accomplice would switch out that deck for a stacked deck without anyone noticing.

unlikely, but possible.

Sure, that is possible, but the shuffle machine counts the cards and shows the count on the display. So the count would go to zero during the switch. Someone could notice that and email security.

youd think after the suspicion rose most were listening for the shuffler though. Or did he place set deck in it, then take it back out, without the actual shuffle?

You can never doubt anyone or anything and people are always trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to cheating gambling.

1. Modern shuffle machines can sort into a specific order.
2. Wireless devices can talk to most modern shuffle machines.
3. Dealer still has to cut the deck in half.
4. Fish on a heater.

#1 is true but I doubt poker room machines at the tables have that option. Its an expensive OCR add-on that can be used to re-sort setups back in sequence or deal a game to multiple tables like duplicate bridge or poker.

Do you think they would let everyone know they were friends if they were cheating?

Tinfoil hat crap aside, since when does the V allow a random dude to show up and rack up another dude's chips, which is i guess one of Todd's many "red flags"? Some asian guy plays, takes a break, and then then another asian guy just shows up to rack his chips? I assign this a red-flag value of like 2 / 100, but still surprised that's OK by V.

I think that all live plo is rigged. I've seen so many people play any 4 cards and never fold and run $200 up to $5,000 so many times, I just no it's rigged.

Never lost with AAA tho I think there being a little too obvious with stuff like that

At least he didn't play his chips "on the finger."

If he truly thought this was collusion, why would he sit through the whole round?...
If I was a reg,I'd slap him for scaring away the fish.

Could be a broken/rigged shuffle machine I guess. Where it looks like it's working fine with the green light and everything but it doesn't actually shuffle the cards. Other than the dealer being David Blaine I don't see many ways to pull off a scam like this in such an open setting as the Venetian poker room.

So the shuffle machine knows they are playing Omaha know the game is 8 handed and knows the hero is in the 6 seat.

One smart machine

No, the shuffle machine doesn't have artificial intelligence, but the dealer would know those things and take them into account before setting up a rigged hand so your post is laughably stupid. (FYI: Hyperbole doesn't make you look smart. Ever.)

That would just be 3 variables that have to be set. Should take like 10 seconds to set via phone app. Machine also needs to know where the button is, FYI (rather, where hero is relative to the button).
