There are three important aspects to consider here:
On one side, I can only applaude at PS's initiative of taking care of the socially inept narcissic persons who don't find anything wrong in saying stuff such as:
Quote:
- maybe you want to send someone on a TILT with it.
- i only ever time bank to ***/make food/***
- If anyone has a problem with someone using their allotted time, they are free to [...] move to another site [...].
- Also lol at using the argument "it's rude." Poker is about taking other people's money. I don't care what anyone thinks about me [...]all I care about is getting their money in my pocket.
Also, I disagree about the importance that some regs give themselfs due to the rake they generate: drying the fish pond with their nitty playstyle, slowing down the games to a point that recreational players get disgusted; using questionnable software to bumhunt hand get jezus-seated, generally not chatting, and I am not even going to talk about the professional shortstacking-ratholers... I am no maths wiz but I am quite confident that they cost alot more to the poker sites than what they generate in rake.
Nevertheless, there is a word that was mentionned a few times itt that is probably the most important aspect of this whole issue: "Arbitrairy"
For the longest time, I have said that it is unacceptable that online poker business choose to be regulated by authories located in small independant countries/reserves. They do whatever they see fit, which opens the door to cheating, injustices and abuse. Think about UB/AP, FullTilt, Lock Poker, etc.
Therefore, we can not accept such an arbitrairy call. Who is to decide how much "stalling" is too much? Who is to decide if a hand is playable or not? What will come next if we accept this? "Hello! We have noticed that you minbet your button and this is contrary to the spirit of the game, therefore, we ask you to 3X or else..."
Especially in the absence of legitimate governing bodies regulating online poker (lol@malta, KGC, Antigua and Barbuda, etc.); we need, as a community, to oppose to any measures that lets the online poker room the ability to take arbitrairy decision and abuse of their powers.
Sorry for the tl;dr and my poor English
