Because Joe Barton or an aide of Joe Barton saw posts about it on his facebook.

When does the Super committee actually see the barton bill? Like is there some period of time where they just go through a bunch of bills and pass them or decline them?

They already know about it. Poker players have contacted the super committee more than any other group. Our biggest problem is that the super committee might not agree to pass anything.

Regardless if they do or don't pass anything, however, leaders from both parties are involved in these negotiations. Which means if we are heard by the super committee, then we are heard by everyone. This makes contacting the super committee very easy.

I'm fully convinced that the people who come on these forums and deny us any chance are just desperate to be proven right about something. They see this as a favorable opportunity for that to happen and they can't wait to come on here and say "I told you so.". It always amazes me when people put "being right" about something ahead of a common interest. The ironic thing is that this is why the very politicians we are trying to convince are so dysfunctional to begin with.

Does the Super Committee have to agree to a certain amount in cuts before its recommendations must have an up or down vote?

If it recommends $150 B in cuts including some form of HR2366, will these cuts be guaranteed an up or down vote?

When will a decision be rendered? What is a reasonable expected time frame?

Oct. 1-Dec. 31: Timeframe in which both houses of Congress must vote on a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Yes if anything passes the super committee, it is guaranteed a vote. Most likely if anything passes the super committee, then it will pass both the house and the senate.

This has probably been discussed a bit, but what are our odds at getting a poker bill attached to a jobs bill? Reid mentioned that he and other dems will be introducing pieces of the jobs bill over the next few weeks, do we stand any chance of seeing his piece of poker legislation by then?
