That is why my bill calls for the first offense for someone caught gambling online to be a summary offense. If convicted, that person is looking at the possibility of 90 days in jail and a fine that could reach $300.
For those who are second-time offenders, the violation would be graded as a third-degree misdemeanor. In that case, following conviction, jail time could reach one year and a fine could reach $2,500
It is my hope that not one fine is ever issued.
So his answer is prohibition
PLUS throw people in jail and fine them? WOW. This guy is something else.
So what happens when some kid (lets say he's 13) gambles online and gets caught. Is the state of Pennsylvania going to throw him in jail? Or his parents? lol
It amazes me (but it probably shouldn't anymore) that these politicians don't see how prohibition creates the one thing they're tying to prevent...... and that is a thriving black market that makes it easier for minors to gamble and the possibility to launder money, ect......
