Sorry to hear about your father. I've made a note in my calendar to search 2+2 next June for the seventh installment of your life in Vegas story. Thanks for sharing.

I really cannot tell if this story is inspirational or depressing. I think it depends on the perception of the person reading. It certainly isn't a "feel good" journy.

Either way, I wanted to say I really enjoyed your posts. I love reading about amateur/pro players trying to make a living out of playing, especially in Vegas.

It is time for seven years in Las Vegas.

Bump. When I first joined these forums in 02, you were the strat posting star. Well, you and Clarkmeister. Did NL even exist then? Heh.

Not going to read this whole thread but I just don't get why this guy isn't massively multitabling 1/2 NL online or something.

Playing 30-60 LHE live just seems profoundly irrational to me, unless it makes you happy.

(I'm pretty sure I made this same comment a year ago and got flamed for it, but I guess I'm stubborn like that.)

Not really as far as casinos were concerned.

I'm by no means a professional poker player nor do I aspire to be one any time soon. But for some reason, I literally had tears in my eyes when I read this.

Great post. A+++++

I originally joined these forums back in 02. But at some point in 04, I switched names to this one. My old name actually has more posts on it that this one does.

This might work if you had said "ocean-front property," but "beach" refers to the shore of any body of water. Colorado has lakes, hence it is possible to own a beach house in Colorado.

it's called a dictionary. ...
I looked it up on a dictionary I still dont see anything about a poker player being professionals, What number does it say about poker players being professionals?none, nuff said.

the fact of the matter is anybody can stop working and just play poker everyday, not because they're good but have money to do it and addicted to the game, it doesn't mean they're professional.
