Plexiglass seems awful, glad it’s going away

I love plexiglass. It keeps people out of my space

IIRC in a normal year the WSOP announces at least a partial schedule in January and the full schedule by sometime in February, so I would imagine we'll see something in June. Hope it happens sooner, I'm getting antsy!

I didnt mind plexiglass between players. It was between the player and the table/dealer that I didnt like.

It kept people from getting in your space but I think 8 max tables kinda takes care of that on its own.

The big issue for me was, for example, being in the 4-5 seats and wanting to see the opponent/stack in the seats at the ends of the table. You end up looking thru several different plexiglass panels at different angles which completely distorts your view.

The combination of masks and plexiglass in front of you makes verbal actions hard for everyone involved.

Once the plexiglass is down and someone is invading your space just go “yo, you are in my space, please move over”

Unfortunate but inevitable. 8 handed was never gonna be the norm.

Plexiglass is gone at the Wynn, good. Will now likely never show up at the WSOP thankfully.

No chance of live poker in the U.K. without masks any time soon, unfortunately.

No one ever acknowledges they aren't square. The vast majority of the time they insist they are in their spot unless the dealer tells them they are wrong and need to stfu.

Plexiglass makes a hell of a lot more sense in the personal space regard than it does at magically stopping a virus that circulates through air in enclosed spaces.

we don’t need to make plexiglass permanent to solve a non problem

My point was that it makes more sense as a way to enforce distancing than as a actual barrier.

Played 8 handed no plexi yesterday for the first time after only playing 6 no plexi and 7 with plexi. Plenty of space. 8 max is the way.

Have they ever increased the size of 9-handed poker tables over the years?

The average weight for males in the US has increased by roughly 30 pounds over the last 50 years. That might be the equivalent of another person at the table.

Nowhere close to airline-bad but there are times when it gets really crowded at 9-handed tables. I never know how to tell the guy outweighing me by 100+ pounds that we both are supposed to occupy the same amount of space.

If you want to occupy the same amount of space, maybe you should get bigger.

I’m sick of extremely fat people in mtts. Nothing worse than a 300-400 lb guy sitting next to you at a packed mtt table.

One time on a plane, I unfortunately had the middle seat on a 4+ hour flight to Vegas, and a 400 pound guy sat in the isle seat. I immediately freaked out and got stewardess to transfer me to another seat. That actually screwed me up for life with confined space type situations. lol
