Quick translation:

Today I'm having cognac with my coffee.
It's exactly two years since I made it to the ER on Little Company of Mary in Los Angeles, in great pain.

After 7 hours of waiting I finally was admitted. The diagnosis was colorectal cancer that had spread to the lungs, liver and the lymph and it was terminal.
I was operated on fast as f***, in order for me to feel a little better in the final stages.
The next day the doctor came and told me a little about the illness, he told me he had never heard of anyone making it beyond two years with this kind of cancer which was in stage four. The priest even came to see me (there at the hospital) to give me a sermon.

In all politeness I told him I was not a man of faith, but I let him finish. I took it as freeroll, it couldn't hurt.

Well, these two years flew by and I guess I can give that doctor the bird (Norwegian expression for 'up yours').

After a fantastic welcome at Ullevaal Hospital and 110 doses of chemo this far, I feel stronger than ever.

I have a lot of friends to thank, young and old, there is not enough room in my PC to write every name down. You all know who you are.

The Norwegian media does not offer any more reports on his condition or the state of the cancer, but this is looking better than first feared. Fingers crossed.

Saw him 2 times last year, first in April when he looked pretty bad, then in July where he looked as good as ever.

One of the biggest life-bosses. Wish him all the best.

Thor came third in the FLHE 6-max in the Norwegian Championship in Dublin the other day. Busted late yesterday in the ME tho, on day 1.

Pretty sure I saw him at Magic Wash on Decatur last Thursday when I was picking up my laundry. Hope it was him and he is here for the Series, class act.

Don't know him personally, but I sincerely hope that anyone close to him suggests that along with traditional chemotherapy that he includes very strong Cannibis oils that include extremely high dosages of CBDs and THC. There is nothing in medicine showing more promise in clinical research in the treatment of cancer than medical grade marijuana.

While it will depend on the type of cancer, there is no harm that can come from it and only potential benefit. British Columbia is where I would start, but I know folks in London that could also help in Europe.

I am sorry to inform you all that Thor Hansen passed away today, after a long battle with cancer. He was 71 years old.
The Norwegian poker legend, who spent a big part of his life in Vegas and California will be remembered by all his friends all over the world, he was one of the kindest guys you'll ever meet. And a great player with two WSOP titles , back in the 80's and 90's.

We will miss you Thor. R.I.P.
