It tilts the hell out of me that there are people paying so much rake and live and breath poker, playing it 24/7 helping Poker sites stay alive and even though they've dedicated their lives to poker it goes unrecognised. Yet Rafa Nadal gets to be the face of Pokerstars and he doesn't even know the starting hand charts, it's disgraceful that people have lost their homes to poker yet nobody cares. Why don't we just make Michael Jordan the face of swimming? I don't even dislike Nadal, what annoys me the most is that stupid Shayne Warne is the face of 888 when I can think of much more deserving candidates. Raven Jet Byrne and Sam Holden to name a few

LOl nobody knows who Shane Warne is! Cricket is considered one of the most unpopular sports and just because fish are bad at poker it doesn't make them total idiots who can't see through advertising. You'd have to be real stupid to consider taking up poker just because Rafa is a member of Pokerstars, I would hope people are not that moronic. Besides, it's not as if Pokerstars needs the money with their ever increasing rake. The best solution would be to have some sort of leaderboard where the top guy gets to be the face of his site for a month

They are marketing, not rewarding people by making them a site pro. Familiar faces add perceived reliability to a product to the general masses they are trying to encourage to deposit.

Sportsbettors are fairly well known to be fish and easily lured to poker. Your average sports bettor in numerous countries knows who these two are. I would imagine the addition of Shane Warne has more to do with his renown and godlike status to 1.2 billion people in India than anything else.
