Teddy "IceMan" Monroe sightings? - Page 32 - Poker News

Saw the Iceman last Friday night .... He walked in from the casino, up to the front podium, talked to the women working there for around 15 minutes, borrowed the house phone for a couple of calls, stood around a bit more, then left, walking off into the casino.

(I was sitting facing the podium, watching this was a way to pass time between playable hands. Other than that, no reason to give the guy the time of day. Iceman seems like just another "big hat, no cattle" Vegas small-stakes hustler, with an updated prop wardrobe to headphones and urbanized. Who knows ?)

Hey, even Oklahoma Johnny Hale had some cool stories to tell while he was hawking his book in every game I ever saw him play.

Played with Iceman today, confirmed he never shuts up. lol
Listened to prison stories of when he did federal time and how soft that was compared to state prison, and how he got out in 1997 and now he is a huge celebrity. lol

He said he has played poker 32 years and now any casino he plays in, he gets paid for being there from casino. He said he called Rio to tell them he may not play the 6 week series and they didn't like it.

He said during wsop he would play 18 hours a day everyday for 6 weeks and he is getting to old to do that.

Sat night a Venetian he was in a 5-10 with eight blacks and like 10 10 dollar chips. Game broke at like midnight and he sat in 2-5 he sat down in the cut off and he waited to come in behind button with 300 bucks. In first orbit he got in raised a guy on a seven five three flop with two clubs. Turn was deuce and and he shipped it and got called. River came 8 of clubs and the hero showed deuce trey for two pair. Teddy did not show and walked away. It was awesome. He is so bad for a game. His talk is crazy and he does not play hands.

Is he a scammer? Just seems like a nit/braggart/poser/ nobody to me but I haven't read the entire thread.
I just hold my phone up like texting and discreetly take a pic. People don't notice.

I will get you a picture. Yes scammer. He sold chargers to players at last years wsop that were broken and also don't forget his Bellagio banning for ripping off high rollers on. Coin flip game. I believe he made restitution to avoid charges.
