Not a lot of time to poop, wipe, wash your hands and get back to the table either.

It has always been thus. When I was younger people used to complain about people on Welfare having big-screen TVs.

Never give a homeless person money. Whatever they tell you, it usually goes for drugs or alcohol. I worked at a rescue mission for 12 years as a men's shelter supervisor so I have some expertise in this area.

When people tell me that they don't have money for food I usually offer to buy them a meal. It's happened around 20 times. My offer to buy a meal was only accepted once.

I have $5 Tim Hortons (think Canadian Dunkin' Donuts) gift cards in my vehicle for this purpose.

Hilarious.
We could have government rules about how often chips should be washed, but it would probably be ten pages of regulations, forcing the room to hire a lawyer to decipher it.

We have Tim Hortons in the US. My sister goes there often. There are two within 10 miles of me in Michigan (my sister is closer.)

They don’t need washing. This kind of exposure to germs is fine and strengthens your immune system. If you find that disgusting or can’t handle it, stay home.

You make a good point, but how can I expect them to tell me where the best deals are for drugs and alcohol if I don't give them money?

Actually I once gave one money but only if he promised me he would buy drugs with it (everyone in town knows him)

Regarding disabled players:

Time needed for bathroom breaks--this is certainly not a new problem. Until quite recently, female players complained that there weren't enough facilities for them to get in and out of the bathroom in time. As one of them put it. "We don't have those speedy urinals." Most casinos now have more bathrooms for females. It seems that more facilities for the disabled would be the answer this time as well.

A few years ago there was a blind player at the table in the Main Event. He was allowed to have an aide who whispered what cards were showing. This seems awkward to me.

It would make more sense to have the aide sitting next to a security guy so that both security and the aide could see the monitor. The player would have a device (supplied by the casino) in his ear, the aide could talk out loud and there would be no question what was and was not said.

Are you talking about Hal Lubarsky? The aide is whispering in his ear what Hal's own cards are, I'm not sure he is whispering so quietly once the board cards are dealt.
