But there's no reason to bring your negativity bs to this thread while the battle is still very much going on and amazing people like JoeyDel and Swoop are doing a hell of a job here. JoeyDel would deserve an Australian poker HOF nomination for his efforts.

So is today the last day of those readings for a month, meaning that if the bill doesn't get read today, we are for sure going to be safe at least for another month?

Update.

The two Senators I have spoken to so far today (Paterson and Bernardi) both think it is unlikely we will get to this today. The government's main focus today is the ACCC which you may recall was the double disolution trigger.

Got some really good strategy information from Paterson.

Also fun fact, turns out Cory Bernardi doesn't mind a bit of online poker!

Great work Joey. I wouldnt be surprised if there are a couple of other politicans at least who have played online poker at some stage.

Twitter posts for today are done.

Hopefully we don't get to it today again giving Joey more time to meet with politicians as we seem to have momentum there, if we can get enough of the LNP on board we may be able to get the entire party to vote for the amendment at which point it seems likely we'll get the numbers to pass it (and work on the other parties with the lobbying effort).

Fantastic work again Joey and +1 to a Australian Poker HOF nomination if this effort is successful in saving online poker in Australia as if Joey had not made himself available for this lobbying the fight would not even be taking place.
