Ive spoken to my local MP Tim Hammond. Awaiting a response. I guess the more exposure we give this the better our chance of having this ridiculous legislation reversed.

I'm busy with Am atm. Yesterday I spoke w some crown poker staff who are pro online poker but crown has been told apparently that they aren't to lobby either for or against anything in their official positions as employees. The poker room is pro online though they told me it boosts their event numbers so personally they support joey's amendment the two I talked to anyway. Will encourage any regs I play with to contact their mp and will make a second donation after am when I'm less busy

yep, Crown have nothing to gain by taking a position either way.

888 are walking away from rake/revenue they don't need to walk away from for months yet. there's something to be learned here if you can dig deep enough. might explain why PS and PP have provided precious little support.

Interesting. Not sure what to think of this. I have only played low level/freeroll poker tourneys and only on 888, so, I have never been a source of revenue for them. In fact, I have multiplied my original deposit x16 times.

I think that's actually good news but still absurd given they could offer a poker only client to aus. As long as stars do that as they do currently we should be fine as long as the bill doesn't pass or passes with our proposed amendment

I got a copy of a qld senators submission to tudge but have been asked to keep it private for now. It makes a lot of the same points as joey's amendment including citing both studies. Hopefully I get informed of tudges response to the senator when it comes so we can find out if he's sympathetic to our goals if we can get enough support from mps and senators.

USA, Australia(+) and the UK(-) player pool would be cool for you, also noting the economic level (compare to Bovada/Ignitos). I played some on some Australian site but I mostly play plo these days and the pool there is small. The best trend is the economic type of pooling, as long as the pools are big enough (100M+).

I got an email from 888 at 12.44am (Sydney time) reminding me I had $14 in my account. Just tried to login & go this message:

I didnt see the earlier email about the site closing to Australians until I looked thru my email trying to see why my acct was disabled. Fkn ridiculous.

Have signed all the petitions, I'm pretty angry that 888 didn't publicise this better to users. They could've easily had a pop-up msg alert me when i've been playing over the last week.

Senate committee referred it back to parliament committee. Parliament committee needs to read it a few times. Then there MIGHT be a vote in parliament. After that the same procedure in senate.

i live in germany but i have a friend who is an australian grinder and twitcher. that's why i actually called the aus parliament in november to find out what the f*** is actually happening. i doubt many have actually done that!
